Keep the scene safe. Keep inappropriate behavior away from the Thursday community. No place for this in hardcore.

I understand that this is different from the normal posts here. I ask the mods not to take it down. This needs to be said and understood by every person here, for the safety of everyone in attendance of Thursday shows to come. There is a person in frequent attendance of Thursday shows who is neither safe nor trustworthy in this scene. Based on his behavior after being exposed for these things in the past, I am aware that he and his friends will attempt to use his autism to justify these actions. I need the reader to know that I am diagnosed with autism, and I understand that these actions are not okay. No autistic person in my life believes that actions such as these are okay, because these actions are inherently not okay. Autistic men need to stop being handed passes for uncomfortable and creepy behavior such as this based on their diagnosis. We know how to tell right from wrong. Some people just choose wrong. There is no excuse.
This is a warning about the behavior of PadawanRyan.
Ryan is a 33 year old Canadian man and I feel it is important to mention that he is a social worker and works with children. This is all public information. Much of this came out over the summer, but it seems clear to me that many members of the Thursday and L.S. Dunes communities are still unaware of Ryan's behavior, which is why I am sharing here. To start, there have been numerous incidents within communities on Discord in which Ryan has exemplified disorderly conduct with younger members of said communities. This behavior included sending thirst traps and sexually graphic content. Members of these communities have spoken out and he has been removed from some of these groups. These were not Thursday communities, but were related to similar bands such as My Chemical Romance and Fall Out Boy. Ryan has a Clandestine Industries tattoo on the lower part of his stomach, above the groin area. Uncensored photos of this tattoo taken from suggestive angles were sent within the Fall Out Boy discord server where underage members could view it. It is important to remember that Ryan was in his late twenties/early thirties at this time. The server allowed underage members within Discord's terms of service (13 and above). When this went public, Ryan responded on Twitter by comparing the people who spoke up about this unsettling behavior to Canadian fascists and implied that the publication of his behavior was rooted in anti-queer rhetoric. The Discord incidents occurred in 2023, but Ryan is still known as a creep within these groups today. Whenever kicked out of one community for his inappropriate actions, he has been known to move onto the next, always exhibiting the same behavior.
This brings me to the more Thursday-specific instances of misconduct. The Discord incidents are important background information to possess about this man, but the following facts are the reason this information is being posted to the Thursday and L.S. Dunes communities.
Ryan is well known for authoring fan fiction about the members of Thursday and L.S. Dunes performing graphic acts under the same internet presence with which he attempts to get their attention. Yes, this is an adult writing fictional stories about other adults who, to my knowledge, have never spoken up requesting an end to this writing, but many of the subjects of his works are not in the spotlight at all. Ryan has tags on his writing for Bill Henderson (former Thursday member, not active in the band since c. 1999), Tom Keeley (inactive Thursday member, out of the spotlight since before the COVID pandemic), Andrew Everding (inactive Thursday member, out of the spotlight since before the COVID pandemic), Lexie Rule (wife of Tucker Rule, out of the spotlight altogether), and Jamia Iero (wife of Frank Iero of L.S. Dunes and My Chemical Romance, out of the spotlight and overall a very private person), as well as others. Though "famous", none of these individuals are regularly in the public eye and are not consenting to being depicted in graphic scenarios. Portraying them in such scenarios is a violating act. On the topic of Ryan's writing, he is known for writing fan fiction surrounding topics such as rape, pedophilia and incest. The "underage" tag is used commonly in his work and these heavy topics are written in a glamorizing and sexualizing manner. Notably, he has authored works about incestual acts between Gerard and Mikey Way of the band My Chemical Romance. Ryan has also been known to draw sexually explicit art of underage characters and post it publicly on his social media pages.
This is where I remind the reader that Ryan is a proud social worker who works closely with children.
As of July, 2024, Ryan had authored close to 270 fan fictions, 95 (35%) of which being about Tucker Rule. Ryan has exhibited extremely uncomfortable behavior towards Tucker Rule and his family, and has been known to break boundaries before and after shows with Tucker specifically. There is a doll that he has made of Tucker that he brings with him to every show he attends. This alone would not be too alarming, but in combination with his general behavior towards Tucker, as well as his infatuation with the Rule family, it is an uncomfortable thing to bring around. He frequently talks to and about Tucker, and has been known to message him about his family and young daughter (4 years old).
There has also been an occasion in which Ryan has tried to accuse Geoff Rickly of Thursday of being into inappropriate content regarding minors following a discussion the two had about a book that is meant to criticize the topic. Ryan claimed that Geoff recommended him a book about a character lusting after his underage sister, while the book was reportedly meant to explore Muslim patriarchal values in the French political system. The book is not meant to glamorize pedophilia or incest.
Attached is a document that goes into much greater detail about Ryan's misconduct and inappropriate behavior, much more than what I can get into in a single Reddit post. It should be noted that this document was authored some years ago, meaning some information is outdated. Outdated information includes Ryan's age (stated as 29/30 in the document, now 33 turning 34 in 2025) as well as his occupation (stated as ex-social worker in the document, contradictory to Ryan's current Instagram and Reddit bios, in which he refers to himself as a social worker). Also attached are images including evidence of the things discussed in this post. I suggest you observe all of these attachments, as they detail what kind of a person Ryan is and why he is an unsafe member of this community.
I am aware that [at least] some of the band knows a portion of this information. I am aware that Ryan attends Canada shows as well as U.S. shows. I am aware that multiple members feel uncomfortable around Ryan and his group of friends. I know Ryan is likely reading this. I know his friends are as well, the same friends who have been known to make numerous excuses for this behavior and pass it off as acceptable. I have received word from countless members of the Thursday and L.S. Dunes communities that people feel unsafe around Ryan and his group at shows. Sexual assault and childhood sexual assault survivors do not feel comfortable around this group of people. Who Ryan is and the actions he has performed have put a damper on the hardcore scene, a scene that is meant to be a space for people to feel safe in who they are. I will also be accused of harassing and bullying Ryan, as this is what has been said about those who have brought up these topics in the past. Just be aware that this is not an accurate accusation. In this post, there is no bullying, there is no name-calling, there is no statement shared without evidence to back it up. There is no defamation, there is no fallacy.
Shame on anyone who participates in this behavior and/or excuses it. There is no place for this behavior in hardcore. There is no place for glamorization of heavy topics such as rape, incest, pedophilia, and childhood sexual assault in hardcore. There is no place for misconduct with minors in hardcore. This is something that both Thursday and L.S. Dunes alike stand openly and heavily against. This should be a non-negotiable for the scene.
To the mods, please do not immediately remove this post. At least let it remain up for a few days so people can receive this information and understand the situation. If I get banned for this, then I went out fighting for those with a lesser voice. I went out fighting against someone who is a disgrace to hardcore as whole. People like this do not belong in the scene.
