DBC America Training Manual
Welcome to DBC America and MyDBC1 Portal. This webapp will make your job much easier. You won’t have to waste time filling out paperwork, trying to collect numbers from your co-workers, or bring receipts of recaps to your boss. MyDBC1 Portal does all of this electronically! It will streamline your job and make connecting with fellow DBC promotional models a breeze.
What MyDBC1 Portal Does
MyDBC1 is a social network made exclusively for models of DBC America. Unlike Facebook and Twitter where anyone can register, you must be authorized to use MyDBC1 Portal. This webapp allows you to connect with fellow models and network in your area.
This app also makes your job a lot easier. Before it was created, your responsibility at each promotional event would be to fill out dozens of recap forms, take pictures of receipts, and take pictures of the event. Recap forms are summaries of how much product you promoted, whether it was alcohol, t-shirts, or key chains. In short, it was time consuming work that left you with a stack of paper at the end of each event.
Now, with the MyDBC1 Portal, your life will be much simpler. Models like you can now snap photographs of the paperwork at events and save them to your phone and upload directly into a recap form submission.

Getting Started - Registering with MyDBC
Note: This webapp is designed specifically for mobile devices, so it would be advisable to perform the following steps on your phone or tablet since you will be using this on the go at events. However, you can also access this webapp from a desktop or laptop computer. Once you’re an employee of DBC America, you will receive an email. This email will contain a link that gives you your login name and password and takes you directly to the login screen on MyDBC1’s website. You will see a screen that looks like this:
Click the blue “Login” button and enter the username and password given to you in the email. Once you’ve logged in, you’ll want to save this app to your home screen.
For Android Users
For Android users, click the menu button on your phone and this screen will pop up. Click the “Add Shortcut to Home Screen” option.
For iPhone Users
will look like the image on the right. Click on the icon with the arrow and box.
A new app will appear on your homescreen like this:
A menu will pop up. Click the button that says “Add to HomeScreen”
You will now have access to MyDBC1 Portal from your homescreen.

Should you experience technical problems, there is a button in the app that allows you to email tech support. Click the drop down button next to the red arrow and then click “Tech Support.”
This button takes you to the tech support screen.
The screen will look like this. Enter a brief description of the problem.
All current, active campaigns will be listed under “Campaigns” in the drop down menu. They can also be accessed by clicking the “i” button shown below.
This is also the place where you’ll get all of your recap forms and receipts.
DBC America Policies
The MyDBC1 Portal is designed to ensure your success as a model for DBC America. As stated above, it will allow you to keep track of recaps and receipts, as well as stay connected with your fellow models. It will also make it easier for you to keep track of events and notifications.
For your success at DBC America, it is CRUCIAL to remember: YOU are responsible for keeping up to date on events and changes made to event schedules. This app will help eliminate errors due to miscommunications. If for any reason you cannot access your MyDBC1 Portal, duplicate notifications will be sent to your email address automatically. It’s the same thing as Facebook or Twitter emailing you a notification that someone posted on your wall.
