Dear Sir,
Many thanks for your letter of 9th June.[1] I now have much pleasure in sending you a cheque herewith, for 10 guineas, in payment for Mr. de Laszlo’s article dealing with art in 2030.[2]
We are preparing for publication a handsome volume to be entitled “THE ITALIAN ARTISTS AS MEN,” and I have been wondering whether Mr. de Laszlo would allow me to submit a set of proofs of this book to him in the hope that he might write a few words in introduction. This would indeed be a courtesy on his part, if he would agree to do so.
Yours very truly,
ALBERT E. MARRIOTT LIMITED.
A. E. Marriott
Director.
