Members’ introduction to OuiShare website new features 2015

NEW: describe your interests and skills
NEW: add all languages you speak
Dedicated page for each community
Information related to the community: leaders, events, projects
You have links to view and edit your profile in the dropdown opening from your profile picture in the website frontend navbar (on the right, just next to the social icons).
Check your data and make sure to add your Title that will be featured right under your name!
It will be displayed on your profile like this:
Make sure to upload a photo of yourself! It will be displayed on your profile, as well as in the Members’ directory on the website (http://ouishare.net/en/about/members)
Choose a file from your hard disk. The image will be uploaded when you click “Update” at the bottom of your profile edit page. You picture is best displayed if it is a square at least 200px wide!
You can list both your interests and skills as comma-separated tags.
They will be displayed at the bottom of your profile, next to the pre-defined Topics section:
You can now add a list of languages you speak, under “Contact me in…”
They will be displayed in your social links block:
Add your biography in the “bio” section. You can write anything you like, this is your business card in the OuiShare universe!
You can make the text box bigger by dragging at the bottom right corner.
At the moment the bio is displayed as text-only.
Check that you have entered all the social networks you prefer to be contacted in, so that people would know how to find you!
You can add a special e-mail address to be displayed on your profile. This does not have to be related to the address you use to log in to ouishare.net.
The links that you filled will be displayed as a block of social icons:
You can find all communities via the dropdown list on http://ouishare.net/en/communities. Select the country from the dropdown to see the communities near you.
List of communities will be displayed immediately.
Now each community has a dedicated page. First click on “See the community” button in the listing to see the page of the respective community.
On the community page now anybody can “join” to be displayed among the members of this community. The page also shows leading connectors (under “Get in touch” - you can click on their photos to open their profiles and find best ways to contact them!) as well as events and projects connected with the community.
Go to the page of the community you want to join, scroll down to “Members” section and click on “Join us” button.
We welcome you to join any communities you interact with, it can be one or many!
if you want to stop being displayed among the members of the community for any reason, you can always leave by clicking “Leave”.
