A. Application Details for the Free K-Dance Competition
1st Round:

The submitted applications on this form will go through a selection process. Please understand that not all applications will pass the first round.
2nd Round:
Sept 12th (Finalists announced + Public Voting Starts)
Sept 19th (Public Voting Ends)
Sept 26th (Winners announced)
The filtered entries will be posted on KDA's YouTube channel, where the public can decide on the contestants they wish to vote for. Our judges will also be carefully selecting the winners.
B. Categories
1. Original Choreo (Solo)
- Styles are unrestricted
- Time Limit: 1-2 minutes
- Video must be shot in one take, still camera, no special effects
2. Cover Dance (Solo)
- Requirements: FULL cover of song of choice. Please refrain from modifying the original choreography (ie. Intros, dance breaks, outros, etc.)
- Video must be shot in one take, still camera, no special effects
- The choice of song MUST be a Korean Song with an official dance practice
3. Cover Dance (Group)
- Requirements: FULL cover of song of choice. Please refrain from modifying the original choreography (ie. Intros, dance breaks, outros, etc.)
- Video must be shot in one take, still camera, no special effects
- The choice of song MUST be a Korean Song with an official dance practice
***All applicants are ALLOWED to participate in both solo and group category, however they can only choose either one of the solo categories. ie. ALLOWED combination: 1+3/2+3***
***All participants are ONLY allowed to join ONCE in each solo and group category, double entry will cause disqualification.***

F. Video release form and agreement
I, the participant, hereby grant permission to KDA, the rights of my image, in video or still, and of the likeness and sound of my voice as recorded on audio or videotape without payment or any other consideration. I understand that my image or video may be edited, copied, exhibited, published, or distributed and waive the right to inspect or approve the finished product wherein my likeness appears. Additionally, I waive any right to royalties or other compensation arising or related to the use of my image or video recording. I also understand that this material may be used in diverse settings within an unrestricted geographic area. Photographic, audio or video recordings may be used for ANY USE which may include but is not limited to: Presentations; Courses; Online/Internet Videos; Media; News (Press); By signing this release (checking the agreement box), I understand this permission signifies that photographic or video recordings of me may be electronically displayed via the Internet or in the commercial setting. I will be consulted about the use of the photographs or video recording for any purpose other than those listed above. There is no time limit on the validity of this release nor is there any geographic limitation on where these materials may be distributed. This release applies to photographic, audio, or video recordings collected as part of the sessions listed on this document only. By signing this release (checking the agreement box), I acknowledge that I have completely read and fully understand the above release and agree to be bound thereby. I hereby release any and all claims against any person or organization utilizing this material for educational or commercial purposes.
