UX Research Study — NB Rock music app Google UX Design Certificate
Introduction | - Title: Usability study of music app for NB Rock
- Author: Alex Chong, UI/UX designer, achong.iwork3@gmail.com
- Stakeholders: NB Rock app senior executives: Jean Kim (CEO) and Jon Cooke (CMO)
- Project background: Our app enables fans to connect with the band members. We need to find out if the main user experience, pre-ordering albums, and pre-registering for an event is easy for users to complete, and if tips and instructions are clear. We’d like to understand the specific challenges that users might face in navigating, pre-ordering and pre-registering processes.
- Research goals: Determine if users can complete core tasks within the prototype of the music app. Determine if the music app is difficult to use.
|
Research questions | - How long does it take a user to find what they are looking for? Pre-order album? Register for an album? Communications? Tips?
- What can we learn from the user flow, or the steps the users take, to pre-order, to pre-register, to find what they are looking for?
- Are there parts of the user flow where the users get stuck?
- Are there more/less features that users would like to see included/removed in the app?
- Do users think the app is easy / difficult to use?
