  1. Have the listen to the rhyme “Eeny Meeny.”
  2. Ask the children what the rhyme is about. (Making choices)
  3. Have the children identify the stores pictured. Encourage the children to name items they might find in the store.
  4. Ask the children if they think the girl in the picture will spend her money.
  5. Encourage the children to speculate as to buy one thing over another.
  6. Discuss needs and wants.
  7. Have the children answer the following questions: What stores do you see? What goods do you think the store sells? What is the little girl trying to do? What might the little girl think about to help her make a choice? What if the little girl does not have enough money to buy what she wants, what will she do? How would you spend your money?
