‘together we are stronger’

What’s happened this week ?

On Thursday we celebrated World Book Day (which had been postponed due to the closure of the school following the sickness outbreak). Lots of children chose to dress up as their favourite book characters with a whole manner of costumes from Goldilocks to The Cat In the Hat. During the afternoon all the children took part in the sponsored read followed by a story related treasure hunt. It was a very enjoyable and memorable day and the children’s love of books was evident.

Please forward any sponsor money to the office postbox. The total raised so far is £67.00

Mathemagician Morning and World Book Day Arrangements - Rescheduled arrangements below

Our third Mathemagician Event coming soon!

Theme: Multiplication

Due to the school closure this event is now rescheduled for Thursday 23rd March @9:05-10:30 Parents welcomed into school to see the strategies used for multiplication and join your child in class. The last one which focused on subtraction was very positively received. New to this event will be an after coffee workshop session which will include making a counting  stick to take home.

On Friday 24th March we will be celebrating Red Nose Day.

Make a donation to come to school wearing a daft disguise - a silly hat, wig, funny glasses or go the whole hog and dress up.

At playtime the children will also be able to have their faces painted with simple but funny designs for a 20p donation.

It should be a fun day to remember!

Resource request

We are short of spare socks and underwear for our younger children should they need to get changed during the school day if they have a toileting accident.

If anyone has any spare socks or underwear that your children have grown out of and are now surplus to requirements which are suitable for children aged 4-7  please consider donating these to the school.

Thank you for your support in anticipation.
