There is nothing to revise for Photography, however you must have all your photos completed BEFORE the exam.
The 10-hour exam at the end of Year 11 is the final point of the extended exam project that you will have been working on since January 2025.
In the exam you cannot take pictures - you can only edit and present your work which will lead you to produce a final outcome within this time.
- For your mock exam in November 2024 you will have five hours working in exam conditions in which to edit and present the extended project that you are currently working on. You cannot take any pictures during the mock exam.
- You need to show the development of your ideas - from creating copies of images by established artists, to blending different artists' ideas, to creating your own unique images.
- As in the final exam, you are assessed evenly across the 4 Assessment Objectives (AOs):
AO1: Research & developing ideas. (24 marks)
AO2: Experimenting & refining skills & techniques. (24 marks)
AO3: Recording ideas: mind maps, plans, photos & drawing. (24 marks)
AO4: Personal outcome: this is your response to the initial artist research. (24 marks)
Total: 96 marks
