Our students had a blast at Sunsplash and at Field Day! Thanks to all of the parents who volunteered their time at these events.
No School - Memorial Day - Monday, May29
Last Day of School - Thursday, June 1
This is a full day with regular daycare hours. 8th graders may have free-dress on this day! Students may bring treats to share with the middle school - we will have an extended lunch for time of fellowship.
**As you already know, our 8th Grade Graduation Ceremony will be Thursday at 7:00 P.M. in the Sanctuary. Graduates should check in with me by 6:40 P.M.
Dinner is to follow in the Cornerstone. I will send home the dinner tickets this week. Please be sure that your guests bring them to the Cornerstone; only guests with dinner tickets will be admitted into the dining area.
Students should bring their graduate display boards and articles to display with them to school on Thursday. I will take the students up to the foyer that morning to set them up just before our ceremony rehearsal.
Report Cards - emailed home Monday, June 5
You will receive your child’s final report card via email on Monday, June 5.
It has been such a pleasure teaching your children this year. I will miss this class greatly and will continue to pray for them as they move on into the world of high school. Thank you allowing me to serve you and your children this year.

Bible (Mr. Ortiz):
This week students will finish our last lesson of the year and take a quiz on Wednesday. There is no memory verse this week.
Language Arts (Mrs. Johnson):
Students will take the grammar final on Tuesday. We will read one last selection in our literature book.
Math (Mrs. Daniel):
*Final Exam on Tuesday and Wednesday
*Textbook check-in on Tuesday and Wednesday (Please remember to bring the book from home); All pencil marks must be erased and book covers removed
History: (Mr. Lane)
Tuesday we will take our final test of the year on World War II. Wednesday we will do an overview of the period from 1960 to current day. It has been an honor and pleasure to teach the eighth grade students this year. I know you will all do wonderful in high school and beyond.
Science (Mrs. Johnson) :
Students will finish the Chapter 12 lab this week.
