Membership Dues - If you haven't done so yet, please renew your MEGA membership. You can renew your membership on the website using the Paypal link at the bottom of the About Us page, by contacting the Treasurer Jim Moler for payment, or paying at the February meeting. Dues are $25 for an individual and $35 for a family.
MEGA 2017 Bulk Grain Buy - About once a year, members of the club get together and buy grain and other items in bulk. We just completed the 2017 Bulk Grain Buy. Thank you to former president and current co-owner/brewer at the Crooked Ewe Andy W. who generously offered to order all of what we need when he placed his orders. For those who were interested and missed it, keep your eye out for the announcement on the next Bulk Grain Buy. We don’t have to wait another year if there is enough interest.
Big Brew Day - MEGA will be participating in the national AHA event Big Brew Day! Quality Wine and Ale Supply has graciously offered to host this year! Because of the needs of the location, we need to be wrapped up by about 4 PM. Therefore, if you plan to brew, plan on getting there early and getting started quickly. To sign up, CLICK HERE.
MEGA Auctions - We have added an auction page to the MEGA website. We are using this as a fundraiser for the club as well as a means to clean up some club stuff. Future auctions items include Better Bottles, homebrewing books, Star San, PBW, bottle capper, beer kits, hops, and more! Keep checking the auction page to see what's current. The auction page can be found below the Members tab on the menu bar.
MEGA Work Shirts - MEGA is working on another order of the popular MEGA Work Shirt! These shirts are great to wear at events or just to represent MEGA during your brew day. The work shirts are Dickies-branded short sleeve blended material (65% polyester/35% cotton, Moisture-Wicking). Color is charcoal with gold and white MEGA logo on left chest and large on Back. Sizes available are S, M, L, XL, 2X, 3X
MEGA Sample Glasses - MEGA is planning to place an order for sample glasses again. At the February meeting, members voted to go ahead and order. Those who already pre-ordered will get their glasses and any remaining glasses will be available for members and sold at events. The order is getting finalized and final pricing will be communicated once the order is placed. If you are still interested in getting glasses, place your order for sample glasses HERE.
MEGA Barrel Project - Some MEGA members got together and filled 2 bourbon barrels with beer, one with a Kate the Great Russian Imperial Stout clone and another with a club-collaborate English-style Barleywine. We will be checking on these barrels periodically to see if the beer is ready to be transferred out. We are currently discussing possibly doing a second filling of one or both barrels. If you would like to participate, post in the forum on the website or bring it up in one of the upcoming meetings.
8th Annual Art of Beer Festival
