Dinner in the Field FAQ’s
Can you accommodate my specific dietary needs?
Our Dinner’s in the Field are served family style. The menus are developed the week of the dinner so that they reflect what is freshest of the season. Meals are not vegetarian, but there are always enough vegetables, salads and sides available to satisfy. Diners with allergy concerns should contact us well in advance or respond to the confirmation email after registering and we will do our best to address them. Due to the family style nature of serving allergy concerns are difficult to accommodate without advance notice.
What does the dinner cost?
For 2017 the cost per person is $150. This includes a multi course meal with wine pairings, tax and gratuity.
Are refunds available if I cannot attend?
We can issue a refund for cancellations made 72 hours prior to the event. For a Thursday evening dinner this would mean contacting email@example.com or 781-444-2351 by 6 pm on Monday. If you cannot attend and it is after the deadline, still let us know and we will attempt to fill your seat from our waitlist.
How do I purchase tickets?
Tickets are available in person at the farm on April 8, 2016, from 11. After this any remaining tickets will be available online beginning April 10 at 9 am at http://volantefarms.com/dinner-in-the-field/. Expect tickets to sell out quickly. It is possible they will all go during the in person sale.
How many tickets are available? Can I reserve a specific table with friends?
We generally offer 12 tables of 8 seats at each of the dinners. If you would like to sit with a particular group we advise buying your tickets together. We will ask in a confirmation email about seating requests and will do our best to accommodate them.
What if it rains?
These dinners are rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, we will move the dinner into the greenhouse or farmstand as necessary. So far this has only happened once and the evening was very memorable despite the change in location.
If the dinner features seafood, will there be shellfish?
It is possible that at any of the dinners may have shellfish as a component of one dish. Please see allergy concerns above.
What does “in-the-field” mean?
We set up our tables on the gravel road that stretches out through the middle of our main field behind the greenhouses. Appropriate footwear is recommended as the ground is uneven and rocky, i.e. heels would not be ideal. There may be mosquitos in the field as well depending on the night. We will have citronella candles and bug spray available, but keep this in mind as you dress for the occasion.
Can I apply my ________ discount to tickets?
We are sorry but we can not offer any discounts on tickets for the Dinners, for employees or other groups that regularly receive a discount with us.
