Voice Clinic - “Jump in and Sing”

The American River College Music Department presents a free voice clinic with ARC voice Professor Catherine Fagiolo.  Observers from the community are welcome. ARC vocal students can audition to perform by contacting Catherine Fagiolo in advance. Musical theatre selections are welcome, along with art song, folk song, spirituals and other classical song forms.  The event will be held in the ARC Music Department, Room 547.  Parking for this event is $2.00 and can be found in Lot D at the corner of Myrtle Avenue and College Oak Drive.

Instrumental Jazz Ensembles

Directed by Dr. Dyne Eifertsen, the ARC Studio Jazz Ensembles will present a tribute to the music of Charles Mingus.  The ARC Latin Jazz Ensemble will perform Afro-Cuban charts to cap the evening.  The concert will take place in the ARC Theatre at 7:30pm. Vocal Jazz Ensembles

Please join the American River College Vocal Jazz Ensemble for our “Bon Voyage” concert as our last performance prior to singing for the Western Division Conference of the American Choral Directors Association in Pasadena, CA. From the gods of Olympus to mankind's Final Judgement, this special concert presented by ARC's Symphonic and Concert Band features the Sierra Nevada Winds (Dr. Robert Halseth, conductor)  with the ARC Symphonic and Concert Bands in a Sacramento premiere of "Gods of Olympus.”

Faculty Recital

The American River College Music Department presents a faculty recital with Matthew Grasso and the Orion Guitar Trio.   The Orion Guitar Trio strives to think outside the box of the typical classical guitar trio by embracing multiple musical genres, improvisation, and original arrangements of timeless classical masterworks. They perform on 6, 7, and 11-string guitars, and their program includes jazz standards, well-known classical works by Grieg, Debussy, and Faure, movie themes, and more.  This free event will be held in the ARC Music Department, Room 547.
