DISMISSAL OF CLASSES

Staff should never dismiss a class before the established dismissal time. Detaining the entire class after dismissal time is also discouraged. Individual students should not be detained after class when doing so will result in a possible tardy to the next class or cause the student to miss his/her transportation home unless arrangements are made with the appropriate teacher or parent in advance.

Whenever individual students are detained after class, the staff member is expected to provide the student a note for the student’s next class.
