His Royal Highness the Prince Regent^[1] is planning to visit your studio on one of the next few mornings^[2]; if at all possible I will let you know beforehand but H.R.H.’s stay is so short this year that the program is somewhat compressed and the timing impossible to say in advance.

It will also be impossible for the Prince Regent to find the time to sit for a sketch which means that for the time being it will not be possible to take you up on your kind offer.

Geehrtester Herr Professor

S.K.H. der Prinz Regent beabsichtigt einen der nächsten Vormittage Ihr Atelier zu besuchen wenn es möglich sein wird, so werde ich Sie von dem bevorstehenden Besuche vorher verständigen, aber der Aufenthalt S.K.H. ist heuer ein so kurzer daß die Programme etwas gedrängt werden müssen und nicht die Zeiteinteilung vorher festgestellt werden kann.

Der Prinzregent wird auch unmöglich die Zeit haben, Ihnen zu einer Skizze zu sitzen und möchte ich deshalb unsere [illegible] [empfehlen?] auf Ihr freundliches Anerbieten zur Zeit nicht [zurückzukommen?].

[illegible] werde auch ich die Freude haben, in Begleitung S.K.H. in Ihrem Atelier zu erscheinen; hoffentlich wird auch meine Frau das Vergnügen haben Sie vor unserer Abreise noch zu sehen.
