Corvallis Primary “Art Show & Sale” Coming Soon!

Every Corvallis Primary Student has created a piece of art for our 3rd annual “Art Show & Sale”, which will be held during Parent Teacher Conferences, December 4th & 5th. The students’ artwork has been framed and will be hung throughout the school by our PAWS (Parents at work in our schools) group. During the “Art Show”, you may purchase your child’s framed artwork by making a donation to the Artist in Residency Program. Once a year, the Artist in Residency Program brings a professional artist to Corvallis Primary to work with our children. PAWS volunteers will be in the hallways during Parent Teacher Conferences to assist with the Art Sale. Be sure to take a few extra minutes, either before or after your conference, to view the students’ artwork. You’re sure to be amazed by our budding artists!

Art Show Volunteers Needed!

We are looking for volunteers to help with our Art Show & Sale during Parent Teacher Conferences December 4th & 5th. Please email pawscorvallis@gmail.com if you are able to help? Thank you!

Help for the Holidays & Winter Weather

There is still time to put a child on the Angel Tree.  Contact Jan Maul-Smith before Wednesday, November 28th at janm@corvallis.k12.mt.us  or call the school office at 961-3261 and ask for Jan.  Feel Free to leave a confidential phone message.

The Greater Ravalli Foundation generously provides our school with winter coats, snow pants, mittens/gloves and hats.   We still have a few coats and snow pants available as well as a good supply of gloves and mittens and a few winter boots.   If you could use winter gear for your primary school child, please get in touch with Jan Maul-Smith to see if we have the items you need.

Angel Tree

Our Corvallis Primary School Angel Tree sponsors children in our school community.   It is located in the foyer across from the main office for those who are interested in sponsoring a child.  If you take an Angel tag, please write down your tag number and contact info in the notebook by the tree.   We hope to have our Angel wish lists filled by December 7th with items returned December 10-12.   If you have questions, please contact Sarah Fryer, our CSD #1 Resource Coordinator at:    sarahfryerrc@gmail.com.  Thanks in advance for your support!

Onset of Winter & Possible School Delay/Closures

We would like to give you a heads up about “late starts” at our school. If the weather or icy road conditions are ever severe enough to warrant it, school officials will call for a late start, meaning school will not begin until 10:25 am. You should receive an “automated” phone call to alert you of the late start. In addition, the information will be broadcast on our local TV stations. If this occurs there will be no morning preschool.
