Directions

  1. Open the document attached to this post titled Letter [Month].
  1. January

  1. Read the rubric to know your goal.
  2. Use the sentence frames to complete your letter.  
  3. Check your words using Word Count:

  1. Read each sentence to make sure you added details.
  2. Proofread your work.  Remember to:
  1. Read it to yourself to see if each word makes sense.
  2. Check for spelling.
  3. Check for capital letters.
  4. Check for punctuation.
  1. Use the backspace button to turn each part into a paragraph. Ask a classmate or adult for help if you need it.
  2. Click the Turn In button at the top of your document to submit your work in Google Classroom.

A+

- I can write a letter (using sentence frames) in a specific time frame that contains at least five paragraphs and 400 words without any help from an adult.  

- I can explain how I am doing in class by engaging my reader by writing detailed examples and stating and explaining accurate facts.

- I can write using completely correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling that help the reader to understand my words.

- I can meet all level 3 standards and some level 4 standards.

- I can write a letter (using sentence frames) in a specific time frame that contains at least five paragraphs and 375 words, without any help from an adult.

- I can explain how I am doing in class by writing detailed examples and stating accurate facts.

- I can write using correct capitalization, punctuation, and spelling that does not distract the reader.
