Week 1: 13 - 17 October
Kia ora & welcome back to the new term of learning. I am really excited about this term and the work we will be covering.
To start the term we are reading and retelling the story of Paikea. We will be performing Paikea at the Kapa Haka Festival, so we thought we should know what we are singing about. If you have any knowledge of the story please come to school and share with us.
This week I am handing over the reins to 2 guest columnists who will compose the newsletter for next week.
As they say...
During the holidays I set up a R1 Twitter account - 2 reasons for this.
Firstly, Gisborne has made the finals of the Gigatown competition. Tweets counts for lots of points. So Room 1 will be tweeting about what a difference Ultra Fast Broadband will do for them and their lives.
The second reason is that each week on Wednesdays is a Twitter Chat with classes around New Zealand. We are going to join in!
If you are a Tweep - use #gigatowngis and join the GigatownGis Army and try to win before November Ultra-ultra fast broadband for our city.
