In Albert Eisenstein's essay Sacred Economics from http://sacred-economics.com/sacred-economics-chapter-2-the-illusion-ofscarcity/, the auhtor talks about the money ,saying if it is a good or bad thing and he also gives examples and how they can help he also shows from a different perspective as if we are the ones suffering of hunger or striving to survive, which we all clearly are but in a sense where we arent content with how we live we will want to continue advancing as a country but what about the other countries, this is where everything else puts into place like helping others seeing who we truly are.
When we consider the issue of Economics, some might wonder if money is the root of a evil. Eisenstein's blog post addresses this question because he says that money is a way to exchange things like i give you money and you give me what i want like a bag of chips and a soda basically asking for gifts in return i pay you with this “money”.
“For indeed we live in a world of fundamental abundance, a world where vast quantities of food, energy, and materials go to waste”.
This is basically saying that our needs have become more of wants where we went from starving and working hard to eat, from now just eating until we can't and waste food throw it in the trash. i see this all the time wherever i go i cannot stand seeing people waste good food, when ever i cannot eat something i put it away for later or give it to someone to finish it, sometimes when i go out to venture in the city i'll give food to a homeless to satisfy their quench for hunger some people never realize how valuable food is in other countries and how they will kill for a bag of rice because times are real hard outside of america i used to do maintenance overnight and they had chefs i would clean the kitchen up they would throw away a tremendous amount of food even items that had not been used with no broken seals or anything it does disappoint me to an extreme that people can do such a thing.
Another point Eisenstein's makes in his blog post is “money utterly fails to connect gifts and needs Why?”.this upsets me because it is true unfortunately there are times when people like us are willing to help those that are in need like feeding the poor or opening up homeless shelters, but we can't because we don't even have the money to help, so money is a major setback in all these situations.
What we can appreciate about this writer's work is can money save the plenty that are poor? we can look forward to seeing what he writes next because when he talks about money he tells literally tells you the pros and cons tells you the value of money as if he was there when they first made it he explains it at its finest explanation and it amazes me because i can actually continue reading about economics.
