In reply to your letter to Sir Frederick Ponsonby[1] of the 19th. November – Will you kindly write to the Foreign Office with reference to permission to wear the decoration which the King of Sweden has conferred upon you,[2] as application for “private permission” to wear Foreign Decorations must be made to that Office.
