General Rules

  • Don’t leave your water gun or balloons in plain sight in your car in the school parking lot. You don’t want to give the staff any reason to be suspicious of the game on school grounds.

● You may NOT break into your target’s home. Even if you know how. You can ‘shoot’ a target inside their homes IF and ONLY IF a PERMANENT RESIDENT of the home INVITES you inside. This includes the garage. If a garage is open you are allowed to make an assassination inside the garage but if you have to open the garage door yourself the kill will not count. If you wait in the target's garage for your target to come home the kill will not count. If your target is already in the garage then you can go in and ‘kill’ them. Some rules apply for people whose target lives in an apartment building. The kill doesn’t count if you get permission from any random person to come inside the building. It needs to be a resident of your target.

● You CAN shoot a target through a window/screen/open door/ if they are in their garage (not their house/apartment/condo) and the door is open.

●  Residents are people who have lived in the home for over a year. Siblings that have moved out are not residents. Only Parents, grandparents, siblings, etc. residing in the home can invite people in.

DEAD TIMES

7:00am-3:00pm on BHS school grounds.

Absolutely no assassinations on PROM. Any team partaking in an assasstion from 12am Sat 21st to 8am Sunday 22nd will be immediately disqualified.

Timing

In order to confirm that an assassintation was made in compliance with ALL RULES, this year we will require a time stamp of when any footage of an assassination was made along with the video or picture in order to confirm that the assaaination was made within times allowed by the rules. Exceptions will be made only in extenuating circumstances. This year we will require any student athlete or club members be given 5 MINUTES to exit a facility they were in. For example, if a practice is on the Athletic calender ending at 4pm, the assassination must take place at 4:05 pm or later.

Boundaries

Shooting in an Off Limit Zone will result in immediate disqualification, no exceptions. No debate.

THIS IS NOT A SCHOOL-RELATED ACTIVITY, SO DON’T BRING THIS GAME TO SCHOOL. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN ACTIONS.

ABSOLUTELY NO ASSASSINATIONS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS BEFORE OR DURING SCHOOL 7am - 3:00pm. (this includes the school parking lot, dirt lot, pool lot, Sportsman lot)

As soon as someone leaves the school’s property, it’s fair game.

Sports practices/games held outside of BHS grounds count as OffLimit Zones during the practice or game. Assassinations can be made in the parking lot before or after the practice or game. If a target is participating in a sport not involved with the school it is okay to hit them after the practice at any time because they chose to be there.

If you are attending a sports game at BHS you can be shot walking to and from your car but the bleachers are a safe place (for tennis anything along the fence is safe as long as the game is going on).

No assassinations inside your target's workplace while they are working. Walking through the parking lot to work or when walking into work is fair game. If your target works at the mall or outlets, the parking lot is fair game after work, and they’re safe when they enter the mall or outlets itself, not just their actual workplace.

No assassinations inside a place your target volunteers. The parking lot is acceptable but your target can not be ‘assassinated’ while volunteering.

No assassinations in public places of worship (Churches, Temples, etc.) Parking lots are fair game. Still, be respectful. If you get yourself in trouble, it’s your fault.

CARS

  • The game of Assassins and cars don’t mix. Be smart. Don’t take chances.

● You can not be actively driving and make a "kill" or be "killed"

  • CARS must be IN PARK for the ‘kill’ to count. This includes if the shooter is in the car, the target is in the car, or both are in their cars.

● Any damage caused to cars can be a reason for elimination. Don’t be dumb and cause damage trying to force yourself into someone’s car.

  • The Commissioners are not responsible for any damage to cars or people involved in the game.

Trespassing

  • If somebody at your target’s home/workplace/church tells you to leave, LEAVE. It’s not worth getting people upset. If you don’t leave, it could lead to you being eliminated.

● Let your parents know about Assassins. If they get freaked out because someone shows up with a water gun and they don’t know what’s going on, things could go downhill.

● If any adult tells you to leave any time, do so IMMEDIATELY. This means getting completely off of their property. No hiding behind a car until they go back into their house.

Warning:

  • By paying to be in the game and having your name officially listed as a player, you are agreeing to play by the rules listed on this site and any amendments made in the course of play by Maxine Morse or Sam Avampato.
  • For any sketchy circumstance that is not outlined in the rules the final ruling will be made by Maxine and Sam and can not be argued or changed after that. Going against any of the rules will lead to automatic disqualification from the game.
  • The coordinators are the organizers of the game and do not take any responsibility for actions performed by the participants. Any activity which goes against the stated rules and regulations on this document will not be the responsibility of the coordinators. The coordinators will not, under any circumstances, be responsible for any kind of misconduct by any participant.
  • Bedford High School is not in any way affiliated with Assassins.
  • Any mention of the game to staff or other authorities could be means for immediate disqualification.
  • NO “WEAPONS” MEANING WATER GUNS ON SCHOOL GROUNDS. If you’re caught with water guns on school grounds it is the sole responsibility of the game participant, not the coordinators.
  • Simply put: Don’t do anything stupid, dangerous or illegal. Play fairly and be honest.

What counts as an out.

  • Any water that gets on you that was shot/thrown at you by the person who is trying to get you out.
  • To count there has to be video proof of the “kill” submitted to one of the commissioners.
  • Use of store purchased water guns or home made are allowed.
  • ****** you should not use excessive force or be aggressive when getting your kill******
  • Only someone on your team can make a kill. You can not have a friend shoot the target for you.
  • Friends may help you get to your target and may film for you.
  • Friends can help you stay in by being shields for you as you move around; it is not interference.
  • If the commissioners say you are out you are out, no arguing about it.
  • Once out you might have a chance to get back in so do not give up.
  • Teaming up is allowed with another team however you might end up being assigned to each other.
