Dear staff and families:

School for Friday, April 22, 2022 has been canceled.

The security and safety of students and staff remains one of our highest priorities. ​​This evening, Thursday, April 21, a district administrator received a threat against the school building and all persons in the building. That threat indicated a specific time and manner for an event on Friday. Given that we have not been able to determine the credibility level of this threat, school for Friday, April 22, 2022 has been canceled.

The Prairie Grove Police Department and the McHenry County Sheriff’s Department were notified immediately and have been provided the threat information. The investigation is ongoing.

School events that are scheduled for Friday are on hold pending the investigation.
