Application Deadline March 14, 2025

Purpose:  To provide scholarships to deserving Bay District high school graduating seniors with plans to further their education at a college/university or other post-secondary educational institution.

Award Components:  Students chosen will receive a scholarship in the amount of $1,000.00 and individual recognition plaques.  Winners will be announced and recognized during their respective Senior Recognition ceremonies.

Criteria:  

  1. Applicant must be a Bay County School District resident.
  2. Applicant must be a graduating high school senior in the year of the award.
  3. Applicant must cite leadership skills and community involvement through letters of recommendation.

Application Process:  

  • DEADLINE for scholarship applications to be received is March 14, 2025 (no exceptions).
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  • If any section does not apply to you in this application, please put N/A.
  • Please email completed applications to livelikedrewfoundation@gmail.com 
  • Type or print legibly.  Illegible applications will not be considered.  You may download a digital copy of the application at www.livelikedrew.com.
  • Applicant must submit the following items:
  1. Completed application form.
  2. Three (3) letters of recommendation from choice of teachers, administrators, counselors, employers, coaches, or an individual with significant knowledge of applicant’s leadership experience and involvement.
  3. An official and recent high school transcript with cumulative grade point average and a class standing/rank.
  4. Personal essay that incorporates the following (Essays should total 500-750 words):
  1. What is Leadership?
  2. Describe a time when you’ve seen great leadership.
  3. How will you be a leader in your future occupation?
  1. A digital copy of a senior picture emailed to livelikedrewfoundation@gmail.com 

*picture may be used for scholarship recipient recognition in a press release and featured on our website/social media.

NOTE:  Scholarship funds will be awarded to the student upon evidence of registration in an accredited post-secondary institution.
