Hybrid In-Person & Remote FinalsTournament Weekend
Las Vegas, NV - 2025
Welcome to the
2nd Annual, 2025
EDC World Championship and EDC Dart Family Reunion!
Thank you to our Sponsors who helped to make this event possible!
Sponsor this event and promote your business!
How to Qualify: All players must qualify to participate in the World Championship events by playing in a Monthly Championship event, playing at least 100 games in our DRTS in 2025, and/or participate in an EDC League AND be CURRENTLY VERIFIED with at least 20 EDC Remote Dart Tournament games played within the last 6 months for stats/handicap purposes.
Caps: Players must fit into the cap of the event they are signing up for on the day they sign up. Stats will be run on December 1st and players stats will be updated accordingly for accurate handicap. If player/team stats raised since the time of sign up when they did fit they are not considered over cap unless it exceeds 2 EVP Ratings for singles, 4 EVP Ratings for doubles, or 5 EVP Ratings higher for trios. Example: I signed up as a 45 EVP rated player in the 45 cap and I go up to a 47.99 (soft cap of 45.99) then I would fit in the cap still unless I go to a 48 then I would no longer fit. If this occurs, every effort will be made to move the player to the next and most similar qualifying event. After sign-ups close, a master stats list will be run for the past 6 months, 2 months, and 1 month and the highest stats will be used from those 3 populating stats/ratings to determine the stats that are entered for handicap.
Sign-ups: Open on www.edcremote.com from October 1, 2025-December 1, 2025. All events are based in Central Standard Time. If you are playing in person, please double check times as the event is held in Las Vegas, NV, which is Pacific Standard Time. Please see our event flier for times listed in both PST AND CST and make sure you adjust according to the time zone that you are playing in!
Playing In-Person Vs. Remotely: EDC has chosen a hybrid in-person/remote play format for our World Championship events. We choose to offer a hybrid World Championship because players have been contributing all year to our program, but cannot all necessarily travel (particularly at this time of year, for an all-in-person event) and we want them to be able to participate. We try to honor our traditions as much as possible to include everyone in our EDC Dart Family, so this is a way to do that. If you can’t participate in person, we would LOVE to have you join us remotely. HOWEVER, if you are able to attend in person, there are many benefits for incurring the cost and effort to do so:
In Person Team Cap: For in-person events, we can accommodate 300 teams max per "event" (an "event" is for example, the block of all Friday Cricket Only Singles Levels). Exceeded players may be pushed to remote play.
Max Players Per Event: Each division will max out at 256 teams.
Event Pricing: $25/player ($7 goes to Admin, and $18 to the event pot). Event Bounty: $10 ($3 goes to Admin and $7 goes to the Bounty side pot). The Bounty side pot is optional, and either everyone on the team is in, or no one on the team is in.
Refunds: December 2nd will be the last day to drop and request a refund. Refunds will not be given after brackets begin to be created, as sign-ups close on that date and brackets will be made/payouts will be pre-determined based on the number of players at that time. If you have an extreme emergency, please contact admin to discuss.
Information Accessibility: Please use the information in this event-specific handbook, as well as our full EDC Remote handbook to understand the rules and procedures for the World Championship. Additionally, our event-specific whiteboard shows all players attending and their stats in each event with remote or in-person play. We will post payouts for each event in advance, and will make public: the final event formats, all randomizations for bounties, brackets, winners, and player standings (except for in-person special events that will be run on Challonge). This information will be posted on our private Facebook group under each event flier. Please make sure you request access to this group prior to the event so you can have access to this important information.
Event Flow: Events will be pre-registered, pre-paid, pre-configured, and started well before the events begin, except for Blind Draws, and the EDC Dart Family Reunion. Therefore, no pre-registered events, players (even in-person) DO NOT NEED TO CHECK IN. Simply arrive in plenty of time for your event to warm up, do a pre-check on your board to ensure that all aspects are working correctly, log in, and be ready to start yourself on time. Please contact Admin by December 2nd to be removed from the bracket if you cannot attend for a refund, anything after this date you can be removed with no refund. We will have 80 dart boards in play, 2 of which will be Streaming boards by USA Darts. Please wait to be invited to use the Streaming boards for your matches. You may receive a notification on your phone when your match is up on the Bullshooter App. Please be aware that we are not responsible for any issues with the Bullshooter app not notifying you of a match being ready, please also follow along on the bracket which you can find on the private EDC Remote facebook page and website. Players are able to watch the bracket and find additional information about your event including bounty, payouts, winners, player standings, and more on our private Facebook Group or on our website bullshooter.edcremote.com (need to be logged in to view information). Please be advised that we have various procedures in place to help the bracket move efficiently, so be sure to read and understand all rules for this as some will differ from our regular events. If you are playing on-site, and you need help finding a board, please find the designated admin in charge of board assignments and they will be happy to help. Please listen over the PA system to be matched up with your opponent on the same board if you are both playing on-site to ensure there’s enough boards for everyone, or alert the designated admin in charge of board assignments if you see that you are matched up with another on-site player. You must be flexible in moving boards as needed so we have enough for everyone. You do not need to report wins, etc., except in the in-person sign up events. Following the completion of your event, if you are playing remotely, and you place or are a bounty winner, please post a photo of yourself on our Private Facebook Group Feed so we can celebrate you and wait for your payouts via PayPal or collect your cash from the payout table if playing in person. Be ready for your next event to start. If there is a crossover of events, or you are in 2 events at once, you must find a way to be on time for both to avoid forfeiture. If you choose to play overlapping events, you’re playing at your own risk and must accept forfeiture if you cannot make call times. If you are in person, and you place or win a bounty, please listen for your name to be announced as a winner following completion of film review and finalization of the placement, and make your way to the photo opp area to have your photo taken and to receive your cash payment (until we run out of cash on hand, in which case it will be sent to you via PayPal within 1 week). ANYONE PARTICIPATING REMOTELY OR IN PERSON IS ENCOURAGED TO POST YOUR PICTURES DURING THE EVENT ON OUR FACEBOOK PRIVATE GROUP SO WE CAN ALL SEE EVERYONE PLAYING!
We will be offering a modified schedule of regular daily remote dart tournaments during the week of the World Championship, including DURING the World Championship for those who are just finding us, or were unable to commit in advance to signing up. Please visit www.edcremote.com as normal to participate in those events.
Handicap: All events will be standard Handicap except for All Stars, Be the Pro, and Blind Draws, in which there will be no handicap. Beat the Pro will be the usual minimal handicap as notated in our regular handbook for Beat the Pro events.
Event Format: The Formats for the World Championship is standardized as:
45 Cap Singles/90 Cap Doubles/130 Cap Trios or less cap events and Equivalent: Double Elimination, best of 3 on both sides, Full Bull, OIOO
46+ Cap Singles/91 Cap Doubles/131 Cap Trios and higher events and Equivalent: Double Elimination, best of 3 on both sides, Full Bull, OIMO
Opens: Double Elimination, best of 5/best of 3, Split Bull, OIDO
All levels: Diddle will be on the 15” side as a game of Count Up (Split Bull on the Diddle), and all players will diddle. Handicaps in effect as listed above. In an effort to ensure a smooth and timely event, we will adopt a 20 round limit for all events, the “button push” will be on auto, & auto start will be on (30 seconds). We will enforce a STRICT 10-minute start time, with automatic forfeit unless you are ON SITE, WAITING FOR A BOARD ASSIGNMENT PER ADMIN INSTRUCTIONS. Once a match has started, players may not leave or cause delays. Players are expected to log in immediately, and play through their entire match without interruption, distraction or delay.
*We reserve the right to change formats based on participation up to the day of the event, so please check our Facebook Private Group at the start of the event for the final format that will be used for the event prior to beginning.*
Capped Events: For World Championship events only, players must play where they fit and cannot play up to higher caps- the only exception is open events. All World Championship-qualified players can participate in open events regardless of their EVP Player rating.
Playing Multiple Events: Players may play in more than one event at a time (for example, if they are still in their morning tournament, and the afternoon tournament is starting, or if they want to play where they fit in the capped event, and also the open), but the player will be held to the strict cut off of the 10 minutes with no refunds if they must be forfeited for exceeding. Players should ensure that they have 2 boards to play on if they are in 2 events at once. Players assume the risk of being forfeited if they cannot accommodate the timing rules for any reason, if they choose to play in 2 tournaments at once. Players STRICTLY may NOT participate in the Blind Draws if they are still playing in tournaments.
Friday Blind Draw: THIS EVENT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, and players do not have to be a qualified World Championship player in order to participate. The cost is $15/person for tournament entry, $5 for optional bounty. This event will NOT be run on TK Brackets but you may still find event information, including the bracket, payouts, winners, etc., on our private facebook group under each event flier. We will NOT have player standings available to report as this is not run through TK Brackets.
Loyalists Event: This event will be an invitational free event for those qualified. This is an extra player appreciation event for showing such support for our program. There is a $2,000 pot payout for this event. Alternates down the ordered list will be taken to create a full bracket of 64 players. Please be sure to RSVP to your invitation to join so we can add you to the tournament free of charge, or your spot will be given to the next person on the list. Please check our Facebook Private Group before the start of the event for the final format that will be used for the event prior to starting.
All Stars Event: This event will be an invitational free event for the top 64 players who have the highest averages over the year with EDC Remote. There is a $2,000 pot payout for this event. Please be sure to RSVP to your invitation to join so we can add you to the tournament free of charge, or your spot will be given to the next person on the list. Alternates down the ordered list will be taken to create a full bracket of 64 players. This event will be seeded in the first leg based on stats, best of 5/best of 3, OIDO, Split Bull, and NON-HANDICAPPED! Please check our Facebook Private Group before the start of the event for the final format that will be used for the event prior to starting.
EDC Be the Pro and Beat the Pro Tournament: EDC will host a free tournament for all Pro Players who have been a featured Pro in our weekly Beat the Pro events, OR players who have BEATEN A PRO and are in person at any time during the year. The winner will be the “Beat the Pro” featured Pro for the open tournament later in the weekend.
EDC Dart Family Reunion Tournament: Please arrive by 7PM PST/9PM CST for our Prefunk event which will feature giveaways, prizes, and special events including photo ops, face painting/temporary EDC tattoos, karaoke, massage, treats and more! The main tournament event will start at 8PM PST/10PM CST and will be a FREE Player Appreciation casual blind draw tournament, available in-person only. There’s a guaranteed $3,000 for pot for this tournament. Qualification or Participation in the World Championship is not required to participate in this event as long as you are an EVP Verified Player (currently listed in EDC or EDC Remote stat books). Please check our Facebook Private Group before the start of the event for the final format that will be used for the event prior to starting. This event will NOT be run on TK Brackets but information can still be found, including the bracket, payouts, winners, etc., on our private facebook group under the event flier. We will NOT have player standings available to report for this event as this is not run through TK Brackets.
Pot Money: The tournament pots are funded by the player entry fees ($25 entry less $7 admin fee/player = $18 per player per event to the pot) and there is additional money available as described below under “Pot Thermometer.” This additional money will be divided evenly in a ratioed split to each event tournament pot in addition to the tournament entry fees (based on the number of players in each event)and On Site Bonuses. EDC Remote has been holding $1/player in a “Pot Thermometer” from all standard and high stakes event entries throughout the year. Keep track of the Pot Thermometer to see how much money is currently in (updated daily, please visit edcremote.com to view current total).
On Site Bonuses: All players are eligible to receive the full tournament pot for placing in a tournament whether they are playing remotely or in-person. There is an additional bonus for on-site players to offset their costs of attending in-person, and these will be paid out to the highest on-site placing players in each event. This is separate from the tournament pot winner payouts, however an on-site player can receive both if they place in a tournament and are simultaneously on-site.
Payouts: We will make every effort to pay on-site players in CASH after their event, however it’s impossible to predict how much cash will be needed on-site due to the hybrid in-person/remote play setup. As the event runs through the weekend, we will be unable to withdraw additional cash if needed. Therefore, if we have more on-site winners than we anticipated, and we do not have enough cash on hand to complete payouts in cash, then those remaining on-site players will be paid via PayPal. Remote players will be paid via PayPal as normal. We do reserve the right to hold payouts if we need additional time to review footage or if taking the time to complete payouts urgently would affect events ability to be run smoothly. Please allow up to 1 full week following the completion of the tournament to receive your payouts whether you are in person or remote, and anticipate that your payouts will likely be in cash if you’re playing on site, but will be via PayPal if cash on hand runs out or if you are playing remotely. There will be no money rolled over if for some reason a payout cannot be approved, but instead paid down to the next place, added to placings as appropriate, or bonused on a case-by-case basis fairly, and will be an Admin determination on how to fairly apply the funds.
Recall Time: Due to the size and number of the events as well as the Championship being played both in person & remotely, EDC Remote will be enforcing a strict recall time. Players will have 5 minutes to log into their board and start playing. If a player is not at their board at the 5 minute mark, we will make every effort to send a recall through the bracket and will do a final call over the mic for in person attendees. The recall through the bracket should alert the player through the bullshooter app (but cannot guarantee the application will notify due to it being a Bullshooter application please make sure you are watching the bracket). PLAYERS ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE TO START PLAYING WITHIN 10 MINUTES. Please keep watch of your phone for notifications, make sure they are enabled, and monitor your bracket. WE WILL NOT DIRECTLY REACH OUT TO PLAYERS TO RECALL THEM. If at 10 minutes, the team is not on the board, that team will be forfeited without warning or refund. We will give grace for players attending in person *only* if they are waiting for a board and we will expect them to be ready and by the board assigned when it is available to begin (except for Friday and Saturday night in-person only events, which will be an Admin call). On-site players will NOT be forfeited if they are actively ready to play and are waiting for a dart board to be available. On-site players will be differentiated from remote players on the bracket if they have a (IP) next to the team name, which denotes “IN PERSON” Player. Remote players will have a “R” next to their team name, which denotes “REMOTE” Play. Players should not need the full 10 minutes or full shot clock to play every time. This should be used sparingly and only when needed so there are no delays in the bracket. If we find that someone is abusing the allotted time, the player will be warned, then forfeited.
Equipment Failure: EDC Remote cannot guarantee remote players’ equipment choice. Remote players are responsible for selecting and ensuring their boards are in good working order before the tournament, as per the handbook rules. EDC Remote is not liable for malfunctions, mis-registrations, or internet issues with your board. If these issues affect your match or result in a forfeit, no refund will be provided. We cannot intervene in cases of equipment problems or adjust match results. If your board is malfunctioning and is not fixable by the time your match is due, and you cannot move to another working board also in that time frame, you will be forfeited with no refund. Test your board before the tournament and play at your own risk as board issues can occur without warning in the middle of a match. Contact the board owner/operator to try for a refund if a malfunction leads to a forfeit. In-person players will be moved to another dart board in the event of a machine malfunction.
Remote Bar Closure: Confirm that your bar opens early enough and stays open late enough to compete as these will be big brackets; if you are not logged in to play within 10 minutes of being called to a board, you will be admin-forfeited with no warning or refund. Ensure your location is suitable as EDC Remote is not responsible for any location or board issues and you will not be refunded for these issues.
Troubleshooting Issues: Always try to update the board by tapping the triple 20 repeatedly until it restarts or unplugging the board to reset it. If all else fails, try to move to another board. We will assist with board issues but cannot delay the bracket for more than 5 minutes. Please contact your admin right away if there's an issue as we are only allotting a 10 minute time frame to begin matches.
Onsite Event time: In person event time may be pushed down as needed. Onsite events are limited to 300 teams playing at a time across all events running real time. If a board is not available onsite, a match may be pushed back to accommodate due to the amount of boards onsite.
Internet Issues: EDC Remote does have backup internet onsite. If the worst case scenario happens and we do lose internet connection on site in Las Vegas the brackets will be separated to a remote player only bracket and an in person only bracket.
Event Cancellation: In an absolute worst case scenario that all of these reduplications fail, and the event cannot be run, it will be re-scheduled with all fully remote play, same events, same participants, and the on-site bonuses will be added to tournament pots and distributed. The free events would also be run remotely, same rules for invitationals, and the Family Reunion Tournament would be opened up to remote play for qualified players. Players would have an opportunity for a refund in this situation if the re-scheduled date was not able to be attended.
Rules and Admin Decisions: EDC Remote will review each situation individually to ensure fair and informed decisions to make this a smooth and well-run event. EDC Remote grants Admins the full authority to interpret the rule book as needed for each incident and make judgment calls to maintain fairness as well as to ensure that the tournament as a whole continues to run smoothly and efficiently.
By registering for these events, you were required to indicate agreeing to these rules and terms of service, and accept and abide by Admin’s decisions at all times. We have provided as much transparency and information as possible in advance to ensure that players could make an educated decision regarding how this tournament will be run.
We cannot anticipate every situation and will have to make our best judgment call in those scenarios.
We cannot be responsible for players that indicate agreement and understanding of the handbook, but do not. Therefore, players will be expected to accept Admin calls at all times, comply with Admin instructions, and to follow all rules for play and conduct at all times during the tournament. We reserve the right to forfeit and remove any player who violates these rules.
We reserve the right to abruptly end unproductive conversations in person or on the phone, decline Facebook posts, and the like, with the expectation that the player will continue to play peacefully or remove themselves from the tournament in the instance that the Admin and player must agree to disagree.
This tournament will be run efficiently and effectively. Swift, difficult decisions will be made with less flexibility than players are used to for the good of the tournament. Poor behavior will not be tolerated. Please be advised that good conduct and behavior in all ways during this tournament is expected and required. Follow all rules in our general handbook, and this event-specific handbook as well as Admin instruction at all times.
Events are subject to our EDC Remote Player Handbook AND event-specific policies/rules. Details regarding events and rules are subject to change/expand. Event start times may be pushed back if needed - remote players must be available to play accordingly. There will be no refunds after December 2nd because brackets will begin to be created. Sign up and play at your own risk.
