The current points system is based on the current official points system that F1 uses, but with a F1SA twist.

Each participant places their predictions for the top 10 drivers. Every correctly predicted position will receive the 25 points, meaning that a prediction where all 10 drivers were placed in the correct position would earn you 250 points! (see example below)

If your prediction for an individual driver was only 1 place off the actual result you then receive 18 points, 2 places off the actual result you receive 15 points, 3 places off the actual result you receive 12 points and so on… There are a couple tables to illustrate this;

The table below assumes Max Verstappen wins a race; those who placed Verstappen in 1st place would receive 25 points for correctly predicting his position. Those who placed Verstappen in 2nd place would receive 18 points as it was only 1 place off the actual result, the table shows the points for having placed Verstappen in any of the other positions;

The next tables show the points you receive for different actual race result positions for Max Verstappen;

Max Verstappen actually finishes the race in 3rd place; the points awarded to those that predicted Verstappen to win would be 2 off the actual result which would be 15 points… 15 points would also be awarded to someone who predicted Verstappen to finish in 5th place as this is also only 2 places off the actual result… Those that predicted Verstappen would end in 9th place would receive 6 points…

If however Verstappen ends the race in 11th place (outside of our top ten prediction zone) then you receive NO POINTS for him. Assuming you placed Verstappen in 10th place but Verstappen finished 11th, you would not receive the 18 points you would receive if Verstappen finished 10th and you predicted him in 9th

This points system is aimed at rewarding you for your overall ability to get the drivers as close to their actual result as possible, but with the restriction of only receiving points for drivers actually in the top ten…

RACE WINNINGS:

Roughly ½ of the fees are allocated to the race winnings. Each race the top 10 participants get a fair distribution. Details are in the Money Distribution tab. (http://f1sa.net/GDocsPage)

JACKPOTS:

To spice things up even further we have two Jackpot options, each Jackpot is worth Euro 5 per race, which if not one rolls over to the next race, and the next race etc.

Jackpot 1: Will be won by any participant who has 9 of the actual race drivers who finished in the top 10 in their forecast.

Jackpot 2: Will be won by any participant who has 5 of his/her 10 drivers in the same position as the actual race result.

Should there be multiple winners then the jackpot is of course shared.

SEASON POT:

A portion (roughly ⅓) of the fees are placed into the Season Pot. This is distributed as fairly as possible across all participants. See Money Distribution tab (http://f1sa.net/GDocsPage) for detailed distribution.
