Brainstorm for descriptive adjectives and vivid verbs to describe this scene:

Write a rough paragraph that describes the scene and the events that follow. The focus is on building imagery through good word choices (descriptive adjectives/vivid verbs). You may choose to be in your medieval role or you may choose to be a Viking attacker.

Once you are done your rough draft:

1. Circle all the verbs; if they repeat, choose another.
2. Look for repeated words and repeated sentence patterns to change them.
