Vacancy - Creative Events & Content Creator for Volt in the European Parliament (based in the Netherlands)

The Volt delegation in the European Parliament is looking for an enthusiastic Creative Events & Content Creator to strengthen the connection between our two Dutch Members of the European Parliament, Anna Strolenberg and Reinier van Lanschot, and citizens across the Netherlands. In this role, you will think of creative stunts, events, or short campaigns that the MEPs can attend and how to capture the work of our MEPs in a visually compelling and creative way.

As Creative Events & Content Creator, you will help shape how our political priorities come to life. You will develop creative concepts for live events and capture these moments in an engaging way for social media. Your work will ensure that our events not only impact attendees but also inspire thousands more through digital content and innovative communication.

This is a part-time position of 16-24 hours per week. The exact amount of hours will be determined together during the application procedure. There is also room for some flexibility to determine the exact working days and hours together.

What will you do:

  • Develop creative stunts and engagement concepts: You will come up with innovative and engaging ideas to bring European politics closer to citizens. Whether it’s a march, a charity run,  an interactive public event, a stunt or a surprising campaign. You enjoy thinking outside the box and finding new ways to reach people. Right now most events we hold are panel discussions, coffee meetings, or town halls- we want to move beyond that.
  • Capture our work through creative storytelling: You won’t just help organise activities, you’ll be there to tell the story. You’ll attend events, field visits and stakeholder meetings to create engaging content through photography, video and interviews, turning political moments into compelling stories for our audiences.
  • Create content for social media: Using the material you capture, you’ll produce creative content for our social media channels. The goal is to create content that is informative, engaging and shareable.
