The children will learn how to plant and take care of their own flower garden. 

What do you think will happen to the seed?  

  1. Ask the children what did they liked about the trip to the garden on Friday.
  2. Have the children describe the colors, shapes and sizes of the flowers they saw.
  3. The teacher will read aloud “ A Flower Garde.”
  4. Ask: What did the little take to her house? What did she do with the plants? For who was the flower garden for? What special occasion were  the flowers for? Why did the little girl choose flowers?
  5. Distribute flower seeds, soil, juice containers.
  6. Have the children plant flower seeds.
  7. Ask the children: What kind of flower did you choose? What do you think will happen to the seed? What kind of flower will  grow?
  8. Distribute Activity P. 69.
  9. Have the children place in sequence how a plant grows.
