As we begin to study differences in our country before the Civil War, we should know some vocabulary. Here are some words you will need to know in order to better understand our next lesson.
Using Wiktionary, find definitions for 10 of the words above. However, instead of writing the definition, draw a quick sketch of what you see in your "mind’s eye" when you think about the definition and include a caption. Then, get together with other students in the class to show your flashcards and notice the different ways people see the words. Be sure to learn the definition of all 19 words.
