Crane Brewing Company, seeks Graphic Designer

Contact name/Project supervisor: Jason Louk, CEO

     Organization/Business: Crane Brewing Company

Type of organization/busines: independent micro-brewery distillery

Address: 6516 Railroad St.

City: Raytown

State / Province: MO

Country: United States

Zip/Postal code: 64133

Phone: 913-206-1626

Email: Jason@cranebrewing.net

Job title: Graphic Designer

Job description:

The graphic designer at Crane Brewing Company is a work-for-hire position that reports directly to the management staff at the Crane Brewing Company’s 18,000-square-foot facility, which is expected

to become operational in September 2015.  The designer will be required to sign an assignment of copyright for all graphics, concepts and artwork created as a result of this arrangement for

ownership by Crane Brewing. If you should have your own original artwork created outside of this arrangement, and we choose to use it, then there would be a separate licensing agreement.

Initial Needs:

• Take our initial label concepts and create a print-ready file.  We have vectorized pdfs.

• Work with our distributor and/or our vendors to create posters, signs, etc. related to our opening.

• Work with our vendors to create glassware/apparel.

• Bring new ideas to the table.

Requirements for Consideration:

• Be available for meetings, presentations, events, etc. as required.

• Preferably live or work within the KC Metro area.

• Clearly indicate your rate of pay (hourly, etc).  If your rates vary per project, please explain.

• Describe your experience in the brewery industry, if any.  If you don’t have any experience with

breweries, that’s ok but you would need to quickly get up to speed.  If you love craft beer, well tell us that too!

• Confirm your understanding that this will be a work-for-hire agreement.

• Provide a mock-up sketch for a label series for our barrel-aged beer.  The theme of which could involve the following: hand-drawn farm scenes (such as hands in the dirt, harvesting beets/hops, etc.) or

incorporating images that we provide.

We will be narrowing down our selection based on two primary factors: the mock-up of the label and your rate of pay.  Subsequent to that, your professionalism and compatibility with our team will also be taken into account when making a final determination.

We want this arrangement to be very long-term.  Wishing upon a star, this arrangement could ultimately lead to this person being our director of graphics, marketing or something like that, but first things first…
