1. The Fair will open on Friday (August 16, 2024) @ 2 PM (CDT) and close @ 8 PM. Hours Saturday are 8 AM to 7 PM. Hours on Sunday are 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Entry Day is Friday 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. No entries taken after 8:00 PM Friday. Exhibit Hall opens Sat 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Sunday 10:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Exhibits may be picked up after the Rodeo, Sunday.
2. The Exhibit of stock will commence at 8:00 AM and continue until the program is through. All exhibitors are responsible for showing their own animal(s) or no premium will be awarded.
3. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning their own pens.
4. The owner of the stock will be held responsible for all damage done by the stock while on exhibit.
5. If entries are not in place on Sunday premiums will not be paid. No entries removed without a superintendent present.
6. Premium Money is to be picked up at the treasurer’s office on Sunday afternoon after the rodeo.
7. While the greatest possible care will be exercised by the management to protect patrons of the County Fair, each individual will be held personally responsible for any injury.
8. The Keya Paha County Fair Management reserves to it’s board, the final and absolute right to interpret all matters, questions, and differences in regard thereof or otherwise rising out of, connected with, or incident to the Fair. All entries in the livestock division are open to EVERYONE in and out of county.
9. The Keya Paha County Fair Management assumes no liability for any loss of damage to any property of the concessionaire, exhibitor, or patron, due to fire, theft, tornado, weather conditions, or other causes.
ENTRIES
All entries must be made by 8:00 PM. Entries may be called in on Friday of the Fair by application to Marge & Joe Zirnig @ 402-497-3553. Every article must be entered for competition by the entry owner or their agent. Premium paid on 1st and 2nd place winners. No article or animal shall be entered in more than one department or class unless otherwise specified.
In celebration of 124 years as Keya Paha County Agricultural Society, each individual exhibitor will receive a commemorative rock glass upon receiving their exhibitor’s number.
CONCESSIONS
The Board will carefully guard against extortion in a form practiced on the patrons of the fair. A violation of this rule will cause the forfeiture of contract money paid and expulsion from the grounds as the board may direct.
The board authorizes only the letting of such privileges as are required by the people, or that may add to their comfort, convenience, and pleasure.
Concessions paying for space in advance will receive two admission tickets only good for the entire fair provided such admissions are necessary in handling of such concessions.
EXHIBITS
All exhibits must be in the space assigned to them not later than 9:00 AM on Saturday of fair.
All entries in classes entered and named and entry number of animals must be placed on the entry blank.
Should any individual enter any animal or article in the name other than that of the bona fide owner, or attempt to perpetrate any fraud by misrepresenting any fact, the entry thus made shall not be allowed to compete or receive any premium
The Exhibit Hall will be closed to the public from 9:30 AM Saturday until judging is completed. Judging of Open Class Livestock and inside exhibits both begin @ 9:30 AM. Judge’s decision is final. Superintendents will not interfere with the Judge's decision. Judge shall award only one- 1st place & one- 2nd place in each class.
If any exhibitor tries to interfere with the judges in the performance of their duties, by letter, act, or otherwise, he or she shall be excused from competition or exhibition for such period of time and shall forfeit any premiums awarded them at this fair.

Nebraska State Fair “ in County” contest rules:
1. Details of the “ in County” contest must be published in your County Fair entry book. (please submit a copy of “ in County” rules as published in your county fair book to the Nebraska State Fair Needlework Department.)
2. Article must have been judged in Needlework at your County Fair. (if for some reason the exhibit or whose exhibit is judged “ in County” is unable to participate and Alternate may be sent to the contest. Please specify on entry form.)
3. If two or more counties have joined together for a fair, each County may submit a needlework entry.
4. Only one needlework article may be entered in this contest from each County. Exhibitors must reside within the county submitting the entry. Commercial quilting is acceptable, see rules for quilts in the entry book.
