Some of our Kindle Fire patrons are encountering error messages when downloading from Freading.  This has affected both old and newer model Kindle Fires. The following steps have been successful in correcting this problem.  

NOTE: It would be worth the time savings to attempt a repair beginning at step #3 before completing all the steps!

1. Reload the Freading app.

2. Resync the device.

3. Download a book.  It will produce the same or a similar error message.  Click on the screen that contains the error message.  The device will ask which reader you want to use to 'grab' the file.

4. Subsequent downloads will not produce an error but will automatically prompt for the reader to use.
