Mickey Mouse Cape Set

What you’ll need:                  

• 5.0 mm hook                
• 5.5 mm hook                
• Red Heart worsted weight yarn
• Threading needle
• Scissors

Gauge using 5.0 mm hook: 14 Dc and 8 rows = 4”
Use hook closest to gauge

Cape: Using size 5.5 mm hook and Black yarn

Round 1) Chain 11, hdc second chain from hook. Hdc across. Turn, ch2 (10 hdc)

Round 2) Hdc across. Turn, ch 2. (10 hdc)

Round 3) Repeat R2

Round 4) 2 Hdc first st, 2 hdc next st, Hdc across til last 2 stitches. 2 hdc in second to last stitch, 2 hdc in last stitch. (This is making 4 increases in row 4) Turn, ch2 (14 hdc)

Round 5) Hdc increase in first stitch, hdc across til last stitch, Hdc increase. Turn, ch2 (16 hdc)

Round 6) Hdc across row. Turn, ch2 (16 hdc)

Round 7) Hdc increase, Hdc across til last stitch, Hdc increase. Turn, ch2 (18 hdc)

Round 8) Hdc across row. Turn, ch2 (18 hdc)

Round 9) Hdc increase, Hdc across til last stitch, Hdc increase. Turn, ch2 (20 hdc)

Round 10) Hdc increase, Hdc across til last stitch, Hdc increase. Turn, ch2 (22 hdc)

Round 11-17) Hdc across row. Turn, ch2 (22 hdc)

Round 18-21) Switch to Red yarn, Hdc across row. Turn, ch2 (22 hdc)

Round 22) Hdc decrease first two st together, Hdc across. Hdc last two st together. Turn, ch2 (20 hdc)

Round 23- 24) Repeat row 21. Turn, ch2 (18, 16 hdc)

Round 25) Hdc across row. Turn ch2 (16 hdc)

Round 26) Hdc decrease, Hdc across til last 2 st. Hdc decrease. Turn, ch2 (14)

Round 27) Repeat row 26. (12)  

Round 28) At this point you will sc around entire piece. (You will need to switch colors from Red to Black when sc) F/o and weave in ends.

Buttons for Cape:  (Make 2) 5.0 mm hook

Magic Circle

Round 1.) Ch2, 10 dc in circle. Join.

Round 2.) Ch2, 2 hdc in same st as ch2, 2 Hdc each st around (20)

F/o leaving tail to sew onto cape.

Newborn Hat: 5.0 mm hook

Round 1.) Make a magic circle. Ch2, 12 dc in circle. (12)

Round 2.) Ch2, 2 dc in same stitch as join, 2 dc each st around. Join with sl st. (24)

Round 3.) Ch2, 2 dc in same st as join, dc next st. *2 dc next st, dc next st* Repeat from * around. Join. (36)

Round 4-9.) Ch2, Dc in same st as join, Dc each st around. Join (36)

Round 10.) Sc around. Join and fasten off.

Ears on Hat: (Make 2) 5.0 mm hook

Magic Circle

Round 1.) Ch2, 10 dc in circle. Join. (10)

Round 2.) Ch2, 2 dc in same st as ch2, 2 dc each st around. Join. (20)

Round 3.) Ch2, 2 dc in same st as ch2, *dc next st, 2 dc next st* Repeat from * around. (30)

Round 4.) Sc around. (30) F/o leaving tail to sew onto hat.
