The Velvet Shoestring accepts only the highest quality previously owned furniture and accessories. Furniture must be stylish, clean and in good condition. Lamps must be in working condition with shades. Rugs and upholstery must be clean. Brass and silver must be polished and ready for sale.  The Velvet Shoestring cannot be held liable for any property brought into the shop for consignment.  Cleaning fees or donations will apply after the pickup if the items are in unsellable condition.  This extends to items approved via email photos as pictures can be deceiving.

We initially price merchandise at fair market value and reduce the price by 15% every 30 days during the 90 day consignment period.  Should your merchandise not sell, you have the option to pickup within 5 days of the expiration date or it will be considered abandoned and will become the property of the shop.  Please mark your personal calendar as we DO NOT provide notification of expiration dates.  Once an item has expired you can either pick it up within 5 days of expiration Or it will be donated.

At The Velvet shoestring, our consignors receive 50% of the final selling price.  Payments to the consignor are made the 5th of every month following the sales of the item(s).  Please pick up your checks after the 5th of the month.  CHECKS ARE VOID AFTER 120 DAYS

The Velvet Shoestring accepts items Monday thru Thursday by appointment only from 10a - 3p. Advance approval is required for a Friday or Saturday appointment.
