We’re Standard Ledger, a virtual accounting, CFO and advisory firm that specialises in supporting startups. As we scale our business in Australia and overseas, we’re looking for a hands-on Community & Marketing manager to ramp up our activity and drive growth.
You’ll learn a lot in this role and develop a network in the startup ecosystem. You’ll build relationships with change makers and innovators and get to know interesting people doing amazing things.
The role
3-4-day / week role, initially, working with our CEO to develop and execute marketing plans across earned, owned and paid channels. Key focus areas of your role include community building - through social media, website, content, events and strategic partnerships. You’ll take the lead on organising events at co-working spaces and online, you’ll manage our social media presence and content deliverables plus you’ll nurture relationships with strategic partners, such as accelerators and investment firms, ultimately leading to deals.
You’ll work at one of our regular co-working spaces in Melbourne or Sydney with other team members and home if you prefer a hybrid arrangement. You’ll also connect regularly with our CMO.

About you
You’re a digitally savvy marketing professional based in Melbourne or Sydney. You have a tertiary marketing qualification and have been working as a marketing coordinator, manager or similar for 2-5 years. You’re confident in what you do, including writing, networking, organising and seeing things through to completion. You’re able to prioritise work to deliver projects to a high standard while keeping others on track. Like all of us, you’re a square peg in a round hole when it comes to the corporate world - you’re better suited to the agile, autonomous and fast paced startup world.
Ideally, you’re already using tools such as Trello, Canva, Hubspot/Mailchimp and Wordpress or Squarespace. We’re happy to show you around the tools though.
