HB1252, Insurance - Motor Vehicle Rates, introduced by Rep. Will Guzzardi, amends the Motor Vehicle Insurance Fairness Act to ensure fairness and equality in how automobile insurance policies are issued and rated in Illinois. It prohibits insurers from using certain discriminatory factorsβlike race, gender, sexual orientation, and disabilityβwhen determining whether to issue or renew a policy, or setting rates.
Support legislation that helps level the playing field, making sure that all individuals, regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, or disability, arenβt unfairly charged higher rates based on characteristics unrelated to driving behavior, supporting equality and preventing discriminatory practices in the auto insurance market.

HB0018, FOID - Denial & Revocation - Stalking, introduced by Rep. Daniel Didech, amends the FOID Card Act gives the Illinois State Police the authority to deny, revoke, and seize a Firearm Owner's Identification Card (FOID) if an applicant has been convicted of misdemeanor stalking or a similar misdemeanor offense in another jurisdiction (outside Illinois), or if a person already holds a FOID card, but it is found that they were convicted of misdemeanor stalking or a similar offense in another jurisdiction at the time the card was issued, the ISP can revoke the card and seize it.

HB1278, Victims Safety Electronics, introduced by Rep Daniel Didech, requires employers to allow employees or their family/household members who are victims or alleged victims of domestic violence, sexual violence, gender violence, or other crimes of violence to use employer-provided electronic devices to document or communicate incidents.
In situations of domestic violence or other forms of abuse, safety is the first priority. Victims often don't have the luxury of choosing when or where to act.
