Dear Chad Horany:

I am writing in regard to the open Staff Photographer position at the Fort Worth, Texas Magazine. This position is exactly the kind of job I've dreamed of having, and I would like to show you that I am the kind of employee you are looking for.

When I was 12 years old, I bought my first digital camera. I wish that I could say that I was an instant photography prodigy, but in reality I just used it to take selfies for my MySpace profile. Two years later, I found myself in a high school photography class. I was instantly hooked, and I've been behind the camera ever since.

I am currently a senior at Texas Tech University studying electronic media and communication. My major has given me the opportunity to be well-rounded in all things media while also concentrating on the topics I'm most interested in. Some of the classes I've enjoyed the most have covered photography, media writing, law, and cinema. While in school, I have also worked for Chick-fil-A Raider Park in a variety of positions over the past two years. My responsibilities included event planning, graphic design, social media management, accounting, and customer retention. In addition to this job, I have been steadily building my own small portrait photography business for the past five years. My client base has included families, graduates, newborns, and engaged couples, and I have been hired to photograph a variety of different events. This past year, I designed a website for my business, and it has improved my efficiency and enhanced my customers' experience.

I believe I can offer more than just good photography skills to your company. I would describe myself as a high-energy extrovert who enjoys connecting with people of all ages and backgrounds. I love to learn and consider myself flexible and adaptable. My work experience has allowed me to develop excellent organizational skills. I am a firm believer in positivity and treating everyone with respect. Finally, I am passionate about giving my absolute best in everything I do.
