Canned Food Drive

The last day to bring in cans for the Food Drive for the Stittsville Food Bank is Thursday, December 15th. The cans will be collected after the Christmas Concert. Thanks so much for all of your generous contributions.

Advent Celebrations

Despite the poor weather on Monday, December 12th, Monsignor Muldoon was able to join us to celebrate a wonderful Advent Mass. Thanks to our Grade 1 and Grade 6 readers for doing such a great job, and thank you to the members of our school community who were able to attend the Mass and celebrate with us. The classes will be having their final Advent liturgies on Monday, December 19th. We are very fortunate that we get the opportunity to celebrate all four weeks of Advent at school this year, before the Christmas holidays begin.

Possible Resolution Idea

For the New Year, many people choose to make resolutions. For example, Mr. Skinner is going to try to get eight hours of sleep each night and continue his efforts to make healthy eating choices. If you’re looking for resolution ideas, one that the school would really appreciate, is having all of the students at school for our 8:30 start each morning. We understand that sometimes issues come up that cause families to run behind schedule, but it benefits every student to be in class for all instructional time, on a consistent basis. We appreciate your support.

Merry Christmas

We This will be our last newsletter of 2016. The next newsletter will be sent out in January, after the Christmas Holidays. We hope to see many of you at the Christmas Concert tonight and we wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thanks so much for being an important part of our St. Stephen School Community!
