Paryushan Maha Parva - 2013 Jain Study Center of North Carolina organized a number of activities thanks to a great community support. We were fortunate to have Samniji Shruthnidhi ji & Samniji Suyashnidhi ji visit us during Paryushan this year. The samuhik Pratikraman in English was organized at Dr. Mahesh & Indu Varia & traditional pratikraman was hosted by Arvind & Aruna Shah. On behalf of the entire community, we are thankful to the hosts. We would also like to thank Madhuker & Gita Mehta for hosting Samnijis; Nalini Shah, Pritesh Shah, Neha Mehta, Sejal Shah and Rita Lodaya for leading Ashtprakari Puja; Arvind Shah, Mayur Lodaya, Pratyush Mehta, Dilip Shah, Heena Mehta and Amit Pothiwala for Bhavana; Shailesh & Sonal Shah and Arvind and Aruna Shah for hosting daily Pratikraman. Camp Lalit - 2013 JSCNC organizes an overnight camp each year. It’s still not too late to register. Here are the instructions. Please Contact Kamlesh Shah at kshah_us@yahoo.com (Phone:919-481-2377) for any questions or concerns. ++++ Camp Lalit Chief Guest for 2013 – Honorable Shri Bhadrabahu Vijay Ji Shri Bhadra Bahu Vijay Ji was born in October 1954 is a great Jain scholar knowing various languages like English, Hindi, Gujarati, Marathi, Sanskrit and Prakrit. He has written more than 20 and translated 50 books, and composed more than 200 bhajans and stavans. He became a monk at a tender age of 13 years and spent 32 years in the holy company of Acharya Bhadragupta Suriji. He is a currently in the academic field of Jainology. ++++ |

JSCNC Pathshala serves our young kids to instill spiritual development, self-awareness and promote Jain identity in individuals, based on the principles of Jainism. The teachers pay special attention to the needs of young and older groups and have structured curriculum as such.
The Paathshala classes take place every first Sunday of the month from 12:30 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the Hindu Temple Cultural Hall AND on 3rd Sundays during the monthly meeting.
