The Queen

The queen looked out from the ruins of her castle to the ruins of what was once her kingdom. A kingdom once full of life now nothing more then a lifeless kingdom. The queen left her castle and starts walking among the ruins knowing it was all her fault that the kingdom had become nothing but ruins.

She noticed someone standing just ahead of her. When she got closer she saw who it was she knew this person as the one who stood by her side when everything came undone. She wanted to go up and tell them that she knew it was all her fault and to apologize as well. The other noticed her approaching and looked up at her. The other looked away and started running away from the queen the one whom had stood by her side.

The queen watched while the other ran away from her and felt sad to see run away. She looked down to where the other was looking to see what looked like a dead white dove. She then realized it wasn't a dove, but the white fire phoenix dead. The once graceful, joyful phoenix that was the others companion. At that moment she knew what the dead phoenix meant and she had just lost the only ones that were left in this lifeless place.

The pain and guilt hit her hard as she had forgotten the lies she had told to get her way. The queen closed her eyes remembering the place as it once was and all the good memories.

After a while she heard a noise, and she opened her eyes to see the bird as it sprang back to life and it's flames consumed her. The queen and the phoenix had become one. The once white fire phoenix was now a black fire phoenix to forever look over the ruins of her kingdom.
