You can also search “Illustrated Faith” on Pinterest and find ALL Kids of ideas!
“Big Picture Classes” has an online beginner’s course – You can do a 30 day free trial and they have a beginning class and several new ones too. They just take a short time and you can get through them easily.
My Blog – I am just now posting and sharing about my Bible Journaling journey.
– I joined a local “Buy Nothing” group through Facebook (www.buynothing.org) (click “Find a Group”) in my neighborhood and received lots of supplies for FREE! I just asked for leftover craft supplies and named a few things off the supply list. They provided in DROVES for me personally a few months ago and then for camp this past week. They give FREEly so there is no harm in trying.
- I always use my coupon apps for Michaels or JoAnns and get things at a discount.
- If you have a Hobby Lobby near you you’ll find LOTS of inspiration!
These are the things I find as my “staples” or “favorites,” but you can use a lot less or a lot more.
I use and ESV Journaling Bible that I found on Amazon. I have also seen these in Christian Book Stores – BUT YOU CAN JOURNAL IN ANY BIBLE.
Also available are “note takers Bibles” that have similar margins.
Lots of new Bibles being released this summer and fall.
Crayons - crayola twistables (primary, neon, large 24 pack)
Crayola – watercolor paints
Crayola – colored pencils
I prefer the brand Staedler personally but Micron is also a great one and there are loads out there to try.
Staedler “20 Brilliant Colors” (Amazon has them) “triplus fineliner 0.3mm”
Staedler pack of 6 black pens of various widths 0.05mm-0.8mm
Micron 1 mm pen
Acrylic Paint – I like the ones I got in a squeeze bottle at Walmart but they sell all kinds and all colors. Apply with a credit card to scrape across page. Lots of online tutorials.
Gelatos by Faber Castel or “creamy crayons by Alex”
I have a couple of kinds and love the metallic ones I got for camp at Michaels.
Washi tape – Michaels and JoAnns has them but Walmart sells them cheapest.
Ways to do the alphabet/fun lettering
- alphabet stickers, abc stamps ($1.50 at Walmart or Michaels if you really look for small ones), stencils.
