Being a student of Business Administration/ management and economics I am passionate about taking the course of International Trade due to my interest in it and its high scope in Pakistan (Gwadar Port etc) and worldwide. Hence I defended my point of why germany and Anhalt
They returned my ubl blocked account letter and gave me sometime to submit it again with corrections i.e. properly addressed to German consulate, signed and seal stamped, maintenance certificate and statement, and a covering letter describing that this letter is for Consulate for study visa blocked account requirement and ghe amount is blocked with ubl via this branch. They are having difficulties with ubl sending confirmations online to them and hence there I realised I should had gone for Fintiba. They didnt recieve the bank statement of my parent tjough i wrote in Form : "Financial Support from Parents and Funds secured in UBL blocked Account" :/
I did prepare for few facts regarding germany but it wasnt required. Such as,
Population: 83 M

Finally, done with interview process. I am posting this so that I can guide others who are still in struggling phase.
I am about to explain everything in details, Interview date was on 3 August, 2018.
After my Admission Letter :-
1- I started looking for appointment, I got appointment on previous system.
2- Checked pros & cons for fintiba & db account. Choose db, call German consulate in Lahore and asked for appointment, he gave me the appointment in order to open block account (in fintiba you have to fill everything online) so I reached there at jail road office, he attested my documents cost me 3400/- and I send those documents in Germany, after 3 days they opened my account.
3- I checked almost every branch to transfer euros, in my case easiest way was to transfer via MoneyGram via Wall Street in Gulberg, Please note this, you do not have to submit 5% tax, because this block amount is not your educational fees, its your personal money. He gave me TT rate of euro which was 3.5 rupees more then the market and cost me around 3300/- for transfer. Bank cost me 10 Euro and blocked my 8640/- amount. They gave me confirmation after 14 working days. (Tip:- if you have enough time like a month or something and go for db else for fintiba, nothing else matter)
4- I searched the group and find out someone has already compile past interview questions, I started preparing those questions according to my own scenario.
5- Checked embassy website and completed my all documents for interview. You can find out those documents in Files section easily. (Tip:- Please read bottom passages carefully)
6- Prayed to Allah for better. Tried my best to be neutral, If Allah has planned something for me, nobody can snatch it from me. (Tip:- Do this and you will see ease in your process)
Okay, now the big day comes,
1- As, I am in Lahore. I travelled at night around 12:10 AM and reached at Islamabad exactly at 4:45 AM, took tea and waited till 5:30 AM at Faizabad Stop. (Tip:- Please don't go empty stomach and don't panic, just relax and go with the flow)
2- Booked Cream and visited Diplomatic Enclave (Tip:- Save this place in your cream/uber app, these apps are not that accurate)
3- Reached by 5:45 AM and waited with others, they opened gates around 6:00 AM, we went inside and submitted our bags, there is a big waiting hall, with printing, photocopying, restaurants and even washrooms.
4- There are two shuttle services in Diplomat Enclave area, first is coster (500/-) and second is Car (1000/-). I selected executive service (1000/-) just because I didn't like the bus :P anyways, a man booked my ticket and asked me to submit my mobile, after this he asked me to wait. (Tip:- yr itnay paisay lga diye hain khamoshi say Car book karwao ta k jaldi pohanch jao jaldi number aa jaye aur jaldi wapis aa jao aur thora maza lo apnay dreams ko sochtay huway :D )
5- They asked us to sit in car exactly at 6:50 AM, car dropped us at embassy exactly 7:10 AM and we waited till a man came and asked for appointment proof, print of our email from embassy. He marked the page and checked passport then asked me to wait. So please carry a extra appointment email print.
6- After a while he asked me to go to the counter, at counter a man checked again appointment print and my passport then gave me a token number and asked me to go through security check. Another man checked documents and other stuff like even water bottle, then he send me to hall.
7- In hall, there is a counter number, so you have to wait till your turn comes out, and a man meanwhile arrange all your documents, and will ask you for about 500/- for passport delivery. Please Please make sure to ask him to arrange your all documents carefully.
8- On your turn go to the counter, counter number 1 is on your right and 2,3 are on your left. I went to counter number 1. He asked me sit down, seems in good mood yet a bit serious. And thus interview starts,
I made 3 mistakes, please please do not repeat my mistakes and do everything carefully,
1- I didn't signed documents I thought declarations should be signed in front of VO.
2- I didn't ask man in hall to arrange my documents, I was confident about my arrangement, as I double/triple checked from embassy website.
3- I didn't copy both sides of educational documents.
Initially, he asked me to go back and come with new appointment, I requested him that It will ruin my whole year, I can correct these things right now.
He said, we are here to help you so that you guys can represent Pakistan in Germany. Although it is very easy for us that we send back you right away.
I said, please help me, he said okay, sign these documents and let me re-arrange everything for you. During this he was constantly asking questions (see question list below).
Then I went out for photocopy, you do not have to visit shuttle service again as there is a photocopy shop near bank, walking distance from embassy, ask from any security guard just in case.
Okay, now I came back, he asked more questions and asked me to write down LOM (questions are below). Then he asked me for biometric verification. Please check the picture first and then put your fingers and remove all your rings and other such stuff from fingers. Don't compel your VO to ask you this, there were some ladies who were in difficulty because of this ring type thing, scanner was causing issue.

VISA Interview experience 6th august, 2018 at Islamabad Embassy.
Intended Course: Distributed Systems Engineering
Intended University: Technische Universitāt Dresden
Previous Degree: Bachelors in Computer Science from COMSATS
German Grade: 2.2
Experience: Two years of experience as a Software Engineer and 4 month Internship.
I reached VISA shuttle at 7:20 am. Showed my appointment booking at the counter and i was issued a token through which i was able to buy the ticket for shuttle service (500 for bus, 1000 for car)
Reached Embassy at sharp 8:00 where you're supposed to wait for your turn to enter embassy. On embassy's entrance, a guy will ask you for your documents he will note something down and return it. Later, you will be issued another token (This one is for interview). You will be asked to sit inside the embassy's waiting area where you'll be called for AMEX receipt payment of 500 and document ordering check. Then just wait for your turn.
Personally, my interviewer was a nice guy on counter 2 unless you trigger him by saying something stupid. He just asked me very simple questions.
Intended Course name?
Your profile?
What does your father do? Mother and siblings?
Your bachelors CGPA?
Bachelor's University?
Work experience?
You''re sponsoring your studies yourself? How much money do you have?
Since you have a good work experience, you can be offerred a very good job after completing your studies. Would you take the offer if offerred a 400K/month job? (i said no and cleared it up why i wouldn't)
In the end he gave me a piece of paper and asked me to write answers to:
Why Germany?
Course Contents
Plans after studies.
It was a quick interview of just 10-12 minutes and later i paid the standard chartered slip of 11,800 at the bank and left.
One Tip: While you wait, You will hear echoes of the other interviews and it can send shivers down your throat. But it's just a stupidsd feeling Interviewers are generally very nice and your best shot is to stay confident and don't go in with a worried face or they'll strike where it hurts. Be confident, go with a smiling face. And trust me it will be an easy interview. Good Luck all!
Also, i used Coracle's (ERV) travel insurance and embassy accepted it without any concern.
And i need prayers as well. Let's hope i get a positive response soon enough :) Thanks, JazakAllah.
Arsalan Ahmad

Apologies for posting a little late...

Alhamdulilah

By the grace of Almighty Allah, prayers and dedicated support of my family and friends and guidance from this amazing platform, I have finally received my Visa.

My profile:

Bachelors: Mechanical Engineering

Institute: Ghulam Ishaq Khan University (GIKI)

CGPA: 2.80/4

Work experience: 1 year and 10 months

IELTS: 8.0 Band

Intended University for Masters : RWTH Aachen

Status: Admission granted in Management and Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering (MME-CAME)

Blocked account in DB: 9000 €

Bank statement: Rs 1.2 million

My experience:

Place of interview: German consulate Karachi

Interviewer: A polite Lady who can be found in counter number 3.

Date of interview: 27th June

Visa clearance: 16th July

Visa received: 23th July

Following fingerprints scanning and submitting visa fee, I was asked a few questions as follows:

Q1) Where did you do your bachelors from?

Q2) Where is this university located?

Q3) How was the experience there?

Q4) Where do you live currently?

Q5) Who is sponsoring you?

Q6) Why did you choose this particular university for Masters?

Q7) What are your plans after completing Masters?

Q8) Do you speak German

I had taken A1 classes from Goethe Institute hence I submitted my class participation certificate and I told my interviewer that I do plan on giving my exam soon.

Q9) Do you have any work experience?

The lady also asked me to submit a one page letter of motivation (typed). It was 11:30 am and I was given time until 3 pm to submit LOM on the same day. When I asked that the "Letter of motivation" is not mentioned on the list of required documents to be submitted. She replied, " It is a special requirement for the visa process".

My advice for any future applicant would be to take along three copies of a one page typed Letter of motivation beforehand in order to avoid any hassle.

Thankfully I submitted my LOM on time and got done with the process on the same day. The Lady ended the interview by saying that the process could take upto one month.

Pointers:

Pre-interview phase can be a scary period for many applicants. My advice would be to be confident in your answers and have your application ready beforehand. This group contains all the necessary information and valuable interview experiences of many applicants. Just don't forget to fully utilize this data. Preparing for visa interview is a nervous but also a fulfilling experience. With the right guidance and disciplined approach many people would end up realizing that consultants are not really required in order to apply abroad. This group stands testament to this fact :).

In the end I would like to specially thank Syed Wasf Haider Zaidi for lending crucial support and continuing to aid future applicants towards fulfilling their dreams of studying in Germany.

I am always available for any queries that you guys might have on your side :)

To everyone who is applying for Visa currently or gearing up for the process, I wish you Best of Luck and InshaAllah you will receive your Visa on time :D

Visa Interview Experience: Islamabad Embassy (9th July,2018)

Intended University: TU Dresden

Intended Course: Masters in Distributed Systems Engineering

Blocked account: Fintiba (9000 euros)

Bank Statement: Approx 1.2 million pkr

My interview experience was very different than usual, posting it here for prospective students with similar circumstances.

I, along with my spouse had applied to the same course/same university.

Here is the series of questions that were asked:

1. Introduce yourself.

2. Are you single? (He had already seen the marital status on my passport as married)

3. What does your husband do?

4. Where will he be during your study duration?

5. Has he applied for a student visa too?

6. Are you both going to the same university?

7. Are you both going for the same course?

8. Do you have kids?

9. How many years since marriage?

10. Why did you choose Germany?

11. Why did you choose this course?

12. Why did your husband choose this same course?

13. On what date does your husband has his visa interview? (He then proceeded to check his name and appointment in the system and typed something on the computer)

14. Why did you choose this university?

15. Is it a public or private university?

16. In which city is your university located?

17. Can you describe the geographical location of your city?

18. Why is your admission letter not signed by official authority? (I had simply printed out the letter which I got in email)

19. Was GRE required for this course?

20. Describe your course. (My course was distributed systems engineering so I explained him what it is)

21. Is this course taught in English?

22. Who is your sponsor? (Followed by a few questions regarding the bank statement, source of funds etc)

23. What’s your annual salary?

24. Have you resigned from job right now?

25. What are your future plans?

26. What are some of the subjects that are taught in this masters?

27. Does your masters related to your bachelors?

28. What are some of the course in your UG that relate to your masters?

29. What does your father do?

30. How many siblings do you have?

31. Where are your siblings?

32. Do any of them work?

33. Any relatives abroad?

34. Any blood relatives in Europe?

35. Any uncles/ non-direct relatives living in Germany?

And then came the question which has got me worried the most:

36. You are going there to settle right? – I retaliated a bit on this question and told him that we both are capable people going there because education means a lot to us which can be easily seen from our profiles, and I went on to explain a few family reasons why we need to come back.

After that, he asked me to write an LOM with the following questions:

Why Germany, why this course, why your husband is going with you, why your husband chose this same course, why is it important that both of you stay together, what your future plans, what do you both intend to do after masters, how did you arrange the funds.

Other tips:

• Take a pen with you. Keep a water bottle with you. Be calm and do not give in to the pressure that the Visa Officer puts on you, they are just doing their job and want to judge whether you are telling the truth or not.

• Spend ample time on the documentation as they get really pissed off if your documentation isn’t correct. Spending a few extra hours on document preparation would serve you well on the day of interview.

• Make a separate folder for optional documents that they might ask and keep 2 photocopies of each document. This is just to be on the safe side. In my case, they also attached two copies of Nikah Nama, Marriage Registration Certificate and passport photocopies of my husband with my sets.

• If someone does not have appointment at 8 a.m., please take the shuttle service instead of car, as there is a high chance you won’t get a car on the way back anyways.

• The standard chartered bank fees is 700 rs, the lady in the bank took 1000 rs extra from me for God knows what, and I didn’t notice. There is a massive loot culture in the embassy area, keep your eyes and ears open.

If someone has had similar experience and/or got the visa with similar case, please inbox. Hopefully, this would help other people in the same shoes as me.

Prayers needed.

Questions and comments are welcome. Kindly refrain from direct messaging as the only purpose for this post is to better prepare the upcoming students. I’ll be happy to answer your queries in the comments.

Thanks.

Islamabad Embassy Procedure for Interview

- Reach Islamabad Embassy Shuttle service early in the morning. (around 6:45 am).

- Submit your bag/purse on a counter outside the shuttle service door inside the parking area. (Do Not submit mobile here)

- First get a slip from check-in counter by displaying passport and appointment email print.

- Then submit your mobile to the counter which is left to the shuttle service ticket counter.

- The shuttle will then take you to the german embassy. Remember that german embassy has two gates, one is for visa section and other is for attestation purpose, so dont forget to ask the shuttle service to drop you at the visa section gate.

- There will be benches at the visa section gate, try to get a seat near the embassy door as the sitting order serves as the position in the queue.

- The representative will ask you to come and submit the 2 sets of photocopies and 4 photos to the first counter. The lady on the counter will check the documents, order them and return you back.

- Then you will enter the visa interview waiting room. At the right corner there will be a person sitting who will give you teh AMEX receipt (charges Rs. 500)

You can ask any gaurd to get the correct way. You have to walk there as the shuttle will not drop you there.

02 February, 2018 was the date of my interview at German Embassy at 8am i was first one at this counter.

Duration of interview: about 40 Minutes

Questions Asked: More than 40

Counter Number: 03, Pakistani guy, no beard with mustache, decent looking guy, very serious.

Behavior: very very rude, he was not even letting me to complete my answers of asked question.

Intended Degree:

Master in Management of Textile Trade and Technology from Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences.

Note:

1) I did not had IETLS, only have IETLS exemption letter from my intended university and English proficiency certificate from my Bachelor University. It worked. So for future Guys! If university doesn’t need IELTS you can appear in Embassy interview without it.

2) I did not had my blocked account confirmation, just had an opening statement from Fintiba. He did not made any big objection on that thing. He just said block your money ASAP and mail the blocked Account Confirmation document on the embassy email address.

3) Dressing won’t matter so much, but cold will kill you. Cover yourself properly. Coz 4 counters me sy 1 counter pr khre ho kr through window cell interview hoga. Only counter no 1 will take interview by sitting in front of VO.:)

4) Increase your writing speed for LOM cuz they don’t give you enough time and write in a nice, readable handwriting. Practice writing Following question in 5 minutes at home again and again. Be as precise as possible in your answers.

5) Many persons were having problem with biometric photos. Be careful of the size of the picture and biometric photos use special dull kinda paper. Do bring that one with you. Otherwise you will be wasting your money (about 1000), energy and time in this thing there.

ALHAMDULILLAH got visa today.

Interview date 19 feb

Visa received 20th march

Intended course: master of international finance and accounting

University: iubh school of business and management

Ielts: 6.0

Visa interview was very simple and hardly long for 10 to 15 minutes. Before my interview i have experianced a problem regarding bio matric pictures which takes lots of my time and money as well, so my suggestion is to take bio metric pictures at embassy as they know actual dimensions which most of the local studios didnt know.

Nihal Khan

Interview experience at Islamabad Embassy (at the opposite side of the Islamabad embassy where Afghans are interviewed)

Intended course: M-kurs Studienkolleg

I reached at about 10:30 at Shuttle service and it took me about 15 minutes to get ticket and reach the embassy. My interview timing was 11:45 to 12:30 however I was called in at about 1:00 since there was only 1 lady who was interviewing.

The Lady was really nice and as I sat she greeted me first and asked me to handover all the documents that I want them to have. She took original and then 2 copies of all the documents. She asked for 2 pictures which I gave. After checking and evaluating all the documents she then started questioning me.

The Questions were normal just like everyone else is asked duringinterview.

Why Germany

Why this course

How did you find about Germany

Why chose Germany

Duration of your course

When is your course starting

Parents and siblings details

Are you married or single

Father business details (since I said Father is my sponsor)

Travel history

Work experience

Where do you live

How much have you deposited in blocked account.

Interview was roughly half an hour and it went really great. She returned my passport (they dont take it from Afghans) and handed me over bank receipt which I submitted after the interview.

I used the Free Travel insurance by ERV which is a German company provided by Coracle and it was accepted. I recommend everyone to save your money and get the Free Travel insurance provided by Coracle instead of spending 7-8k and getting it from other private companies.

This post is specifically for the Afghan applicants who are applying at Islamabad embassy and good luck to everyone awaiting for interview, appointment or admission.

Done with Interview at German Embassy Islamabad.

*OVERALL PROCESS BEFORE INTERVIEW*

Reached there at 06:45

Submitted my docs bag (after taking all the docs out from it) at a counter.

Bought Economy shuttle service Ticket from the counter of worth PKR 500/-.

Submitted my mobile phone at counter no 1 against a token number.

Shuttle dropped me at German Embassy at 8:30. After going through with my appointment email screenshot print, they allowed me to enter into the embassy.

After entering i registered my self for passport delivery service worth PKR 500/-.

After this photocopier arrange all my docs and asked to submit PKR 100/-.

After all this i got my interview call at around 10:30 am.

*INTERVIEW DETAILS*

Counter no 1 (clean shave Pakistani guy in shalwar kameez)

Total time: 8-10 minutes

Asked very basic questions like who is your sponser, kia kr rhy ho aaj kal, MS k baad kia krogy, dosry saal ka expense kese arrange krogy, kitny behen bhai ko, krty kia hain sb, khud apply kia sara procedure, kisi agent consulatant se to nai krwaya, abu kia krty hain, ami kia krti hain, kab fly krna chahty ho, classes kab se start hain, course ki medium of instructions kia hai, course content batao pora semester wise, is program ko krny k baad is ka kia scope dekhty ho, wapis aaogy course kr k ya kia plan hai aagy ka?

Half of these questions were asked in urdu and half were asked in English.

Asked me to write half page LOM.

Didn't saw any original document at all.

After all this gave me Standard Chartered bank slip and said ja k yeh jama karao.

I said yeh original docs nai dekhny aap ny. He said no thanks. I said ok and went to standard chartered and submitted PKR 9970/- and waited for the shuttle to leave the diplomatic enclave.

*TIPS*

Don't fall in the trap of shuttle service company, they will beg you to buy executive ticket worth 1000/-.

Please make proper queues when it's necessary. Jahilo ki tarah hr counter per rush laga k kaam jaldi nai ho jata. So queues banana is better as well as it's a muhazzib way to do that.

That's it. Best of luck. :)

Alhamdulillah I got my study visa

Interview date: 11th July

Visa Issued: 21st August

Masters in Mechanical Engineering & Management from TUHH

Applied in Islamabad Embassy

Profile:

B.E Mechanical from NUST

CGPA: 3.40

IELTS: 8.0

01 year work experience

My visa interview was conducted by a super rude guy at counter 1. Asked me the usual questions. Some are below;

He asked that whether my relatives were outside Pakistan? Told him.

Further asked about how I got to know about this program and Germany? Told him that I did research and my friends are already there.

Follow up question was how many friends and at which university? Told him. And also was asked to write the same in my lom.

I had chosen Fintiba for my blocked account. In addition, I did not have blocked account confirmation from them at that time since I had sent the amount two days before.

My sponsor was my father. I presented the VO bank statement of my father’s business and foreign account statement in my father’s name showing the euros transferred into Fintiba. The VO objected to business account statement asking me to provide my father’s personal account statement. I explained to him that my father was the sole proprietor of the business and provided him a letter from the bank stating the same. Also, that he does not have a personal PKR account. He was still not satisfied.

He asked me on the spot to block my second year expenses also. I asked him specifically that if he wants me to block them or just transfer them. Moreover, I told him that Fintiba does not blocks 2nd year expenses. He replied that they do, and you have to do it. Afterwards, I searched through this group and contacted Fintiba. On my request, Fintiba sent me an email saying that they do not block 2nd year expense.

Afterwards, I transferred the 2nd year expenses to my Fintiba account. And sent a simple screenshot and details of the blocked account that I had received prior to transferring my 2nd year expense to Embassy. That was the end of the blocked amount fiasco.

Initially, I received my visa on 10th August. Visa start date mentioned on it was 1st October. The admission letter that I submitted to the VO clearly stated that my enrollment deadline is 1st October, and had also submitted travel insurance valid from 1st September. Therefore, it made no sense to me why my visa start date was also 1st October. Anyways upon asking on this group, the majority’s consensus was that I should ask the university to extend my dates.

However, I wrote the Embassy an email on 11th August mentioning all the details with evidence, and that I could not understand why they did this and requested them to change the dates on my visa.

I received an email from them on 14th to submit ticket reservation of my intended travel date and passport. Went to the embassy on 16th. Got my passport back on 22nd.

So if anyone has a reasonable problem with his or her visa, do not hesitate to contact the embassy. Just do not do it for unreasonable requests.

This group has helped me a lot with the information I needed. Please before asking questions, use the search bar on the left to try to find your specific query. Maybe it has been answered before. If it isn’t or you are not satisfied, then make a new post. This group is very effective and there a lot of people, who help, just try not to waste their efforts.

If you have any specific questions, please feel free to ask me in the comments. Thank you.

And a special thank you to Mr. Usama Nayab.

She: Hello good morning

She said what if you didn’t get the visa till this date.

I told her that I have talked to my professor about extension she said did you get that I told her that I didn’t get his reply yet but I am sure I would get, she said hmmm.

Then again a long pause she was writing something on paper…..

Then she asked whats your qualification?

Whats your CGPA?

When you degree was completed?

Is this course related to your degree program?

How did you find this university?

Then again a long pause….

Then a question came and I got confused because I didn’t want her to ask that question:P

She said who will FINANCE you?

I said my brother and uncle?

She said what about your father?

I told her straight truth I didn’t hide anything.

She asked what your brother do. I answered!

Then again a long pause and then she spoke with a forceful voice.

I am just giving you 5 minutes write motivation letter while standing here and on the back side write course contents hurry up.

I forgot all the things and then again tried to get my nerves and wrote what I have thought to write and seriously my writing is very good but at that time it was like kery makory. Then she took my finger prints and asked me to get a photocopy of motivation letter I did that then she asked me to pay this fee and then you are free to go!!

Done with visa interview. Following was my experience:

Interview timing was 8 am, so I reached "Diplomatic Enclave Visa Shuttle Service" at 7:15 am, Parked my car in car parking and then purchased the ticket for shuttle (Economy: 500 rs, Executive: 1000 rs). Economy mae bus chalti hai aur Executive mae car. So the car dropped me at German Embassy. Everybody was waiting outside because they only allow you to enter in the embassy at 7:45 am. So at 7:45 am a guy came to us and he checked my appointment email printout, after that he asked me to go inside the embassy. At the embassy gate, another guy checked my documents (all the documents, passport and picture) after checking all those things, he issued me a token and said "now you can go inside". After entering in the embassy, photocopier (who sits in the main hall) asked 2 sets of documents from me, he then checked the order of the arrangement of my document, I arranged perfectly so he just stapled my pictures on the visa form and he asked 50 rupees for that, If your documents is not in proper order and if he do the arrangement for you then he can ask upto 500 rs. After that I paid 500 rupees to another guy, who sits directly next to him, for passport delivery, and he gave me the AMEX receipt. After that they asked me to sit untill my turn comes.

Visa interview was very simple, VO was nice. He asked me some simple questions like:

* Why Germany

* What is the name of your university

* Location of my university

* In how many universities I applied

* Who is your sponsor

* Do you have any friend or Family Member in Germany

* He asked some more questions from my bank statement like from where did you get this money (he was pointing out my transactions), etc. (P.S: I showed my own bank statement).

* My salary

* My designation title

* When I completed my graduation

* Who motivated you to study in Germany

* How this course is relevant to your previous degree

* Whats your future plans

* How will you manage your 2nd year expense

Then he took my finger prints and after that he asked me to write a motivation letter, for that he gave me 7 minutes.

Then he gave me a chalan form and asked me to submit the visa processing fee (which was 9850 rs) in SCB bank (Diplomatic Enclave branch).

Thats it !!!!

P.S: The interview is very simple, you just have to answer honestly, If you will lie in your interview then they will caught you and that will make troubles for you !

Best of luck for all of you guys and girls and Pray for me, thanks :)

Intended University: Koblenz-LANDAU (Program MMCS)

Visa interview date on: 9th feb

Visa clearance received: 12th march

Visa starting date: 22nd March 2018.

I have put my experiences in a file, will be posting it in comments.

I would like to thank the people who have helped me for the whole process from the start:

Syed Rizwan Tariq my first inspiration for Germany came from him.

He is my mentor from the time I joined NUST till now when I will be joining Koblenz and moving to Germany. Thanks sir.

Muhammad Arslan Ansari (special thanks to you sir, from teaching me how to tailor a europass CV to evaluating my LOM, you have helped me even you were busy in your university work. Really appreciated)

Tahir Junaid Khan (Thanks for encouraging me to apply early that was helpful :P and for guiding me for uni assist)

Dildar Ahmed Saqib saqib (Yar tere baghair fees pay nahi honi thi , thanks )

Jawad Ghourid ghouri (Ustaad that Karachi ki khuwari would not have been easy without your help and boss whatsapp group bana kar acha faisla kia apne. Wese apan dono to sath hi hen 😂)

And apologies if I forgot any name :P .

Finally, I will just give the following advices/tips regarding Germany to the people who would be applying in future:

1. Apply as soon as possible. This will increase your chances of getting admit soon and you will go through a smooth visa process. Getting an early response from university is hell of a relief in many perspectives (trust me, you will realize it later on .

2. Don’t just go for ranking (for me I don’t even bother about ranking), just go with the course which suits you the most. Secondly, look for university environment (how progressive it is by asking students who are currently enrolled there) and city rather than ranking.

Exception is there in the courses of management and law.

3. Don’t run from IELTS, in the long run its worth it. University also considers it a plus even if it doesn’t require IELTS but majority of the university require IELTS. Plus embassy ko bhi koi reason na do ap per sawal karne ka.

4. Don’t even consider consultants. They will ruin your case and please avoid them for your own good(save your time and money). Everything is available in this group and people here are helpful unless you start asking very childishly basic questions. (which you have seen are unanswered)

5. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE use the group search button of facebook, it’s the most helpful tool I came across during search for courses. (you can google If you don’t know how to use it. 😃

Visa Received: 27th March

Issued on: 26th March

Inteded University: TU Chemnitz

Course: MS Automotive Software Engineering

Profile:

BS Software Engineering: CGPA 3.58 (Jan 2017 UMT Lahore)

IELTS: 7.5 (L 8, R 7.5, W 7.5, S 7.5)

1 year experience as Assosiate Software Engineer at NextBridge Lhr

Applied in TU Chemnitz, Tu Berlin and Passau and got admitted in Passau and Chemnitz

Fintiba blocked account 8900 Euro (Didn't had blocking confirmation at interview but had swift receipt but blocking confirmation was issued on same day and i emailed it to them)

Visa Counter No 2: Middle Aged Lady

Interview was very simple and smooth. Questions were :

Firstly she asked me my course and then my previous degree, then these questions followed:

Why Germany?

What other uni's did you apply and Why this Uni?

Why this course?

Duration of course?

Language of course?

Previous Degree?

GPA?

Sponser?

Siblings?

Monthly income of sponser?

What does your sponser do?

How many persons earn in family?

Any relatives abroad?

Start date of classes

Graduation date?

What have you been doing after graduation?

What will you do after you finish your degree?

What will you do after returning back?

How did you know about this university? Did you use a

consultant?

It was a very simple and jolly interview which took hardly 10 minutes. She gave me a paper to write LOM during interview and asked to answer questions while writing. After interview as i was still writing she asked to go out in the hall and finish it and then bring it to her with a photocopy. LOM Questions were

Why Germany?

Why this Uni and course?

Course Contents?

Did you use a consultant

In the end I'd like to say this group is a blessing for anyone who wants to study in germany. DO NOT GO TO ANY CONSULTANT. Nobody can give you the information that this group can. I myself went to Times Consultant but understood their mischievous plans.

This post is bit lengthy but could be helpful for some students.(Finance, business management students)

Interview date: 15 JAN 2018 (ISB)

Visa received: 14 Feb 2018

Visa Interview:

It was on counter 1 and an old lady was there for taking my interview. She was almost most experienced person there but I found her bit tired. According to her first expressions I felt like she doesn’t want to take the interview of a student. (During this she had a look at my visa form and started asking questions like :

1) Are you student ?

ANS: (Yeah, I am a student)

2) What were you doing during these 3 years ? Asked about the gap.

ANS: ( I told about my job and how it is relevant to my studies)

3) Why are you going for second masters ?

ANS: (Its not second masters because I did B.com(2 years) and then M. Com (2 years) so according to this I would have to study M.phil in Pakistan and Masters in Germany as there is no such concept of M.phil, in other words my education is 16 years and I had only this option.

4) Why Germany ?

ANS: (Many reasons, Most important is the course content/modules the university is offering)

5) Who is your sponsor ? its not your father ?

ANS: ( Yeah, he’s my uncle)

6) Why your father is not sponsoring you ?

7) Source of income of sponsor ? (Business man, documents are attached, FBR, Company registration certificate are there, you may have a look at them)

8) About siblings ?

9) How many dependents your sponsor has ?

10) Future Plans

11) Who told you to study in Germany ?

ANS: ( I have searched a lot of countries over internet and I find Germany the best amongst them)

12) What other countries you had in your options, search over internet ? ANS: ( Australia, Canada etc.)

13) Why didn’t you choose Canada then ?

ANS: ( The Masters program that I am going to study is the best because of its modules and unique thing is that university allows applicant to choose the modules as per his own potential and interest, there was no such university in canada who offers this option.)

14) You mean this program is not offered anywhere else in the world ?

ANS: ( No, I didn’t mean that. But I am 100% sure no other university Allows student to choose modules according to his own choice/desire and that’s wonderful thing.)

15) What if you get a job there ?

ANS: (I would come back as I have already explained my future plans furthermore I want to contribute in development of my own society, my own country)

16) Write LOM : ( Why Germany, future plan ) she also asked two more things to write in LOM which I forgot while writing the LOM. I asked her to repeat her words for writing LOM. ( She passed a smile and said its alright, go and take a copy of this LOM and return it back to me after writing your name, signature and date.

Good luck and best wishes for all.

In last thanks to Almighty Allah, my parents and friends who helped and motivate me in this process. And this group which provided the platform for me to apply. Also thanks to Muhammad Ehtisham Qasim who provided me with the tayar halwa in searching of course program .

One thing to notice if two friends who’s university and course program are same and at the ticket issuing counter if those people insist to give 1 ticket to both guys, always demand for separate ticket. Because this one misshape suffered me with wastage of 5 hours on interview day.

3:Nearest Cities?

4:Your course is related to work?

5:How many years you are working?

After that he said your answers are pretty good and he said nothing else to ask and then he asked do you know german?

i said just basics of daily life.

He was pretty impressed the way i arranged documents and he said i have never been to Pakistan but you gave me perception that Pakistani People are very well organized, that boosted my confidence really.

He gave me thumbs up and said all the best.

Later i received an email asking me that although i have admissions from other unis why i selected this course ?

Very Special thanks to people who helped me out .

Although most of people know me already.

I will just say one thing to all new students that you do not need to post every petty thing as you are graduate engineers and it is expected from you that you know basic search skills on google and older posts. Only post when you are not finding answers .

Daad is best and if info is not on daad then uni websites are best to look for accurate info.

Good luck and best wishes for visa waiting members.
