Have you heard…..

As you know, at the AGM, it was agreed that The Rainbow Centre for Conductive Education would be the Club’s chosen charity for the year.

Members of the Club have been working hard with The Rainbow Centre to organise the Rainbow Relay, a running based family fun day to raise money. There will be several relay races – one for adults and various age grouped races for the children – plus a barbecue, raffle with some amazing prizes and lots of family fun activities.

We’d love to see loads of Hedgies there to participate in the event and of course, bring your family and friends too!

Full details are below and to enter simply go to the ‘Our Races’ tab on the Club website. Places are limited so please don’t miss out by waiting too late to enter!

When: The event will take place on Saturday 26th July

What time: 11am and 3pm at the Rainbow Centre.

Where: The Rainbow Centre, The Bradbury Building, Palmerston Drive, Fareham, PO14 1RH

All proceeds from the event go towards the Rainbow Centre www.rainbowcentre.org

Details of Adult Relay

• The relay will take place between 12-1pm.
• The course is approximately 600 metres around grass playing fields.
• Each team will be composed of 5 runners.
• Minimum age for relay runners is 16 years old.
• Each team member must run at least two laps of the course.
• The winning team is the team who completes the most laps within the hour, however the emphasis will be on fun and participation.
• Mixed ability teams of 5 will be allocated before the event.
• You will be notified of your team allocation by email.
• Please come dressed in your best multi-coloured RAINBOW outfit!

The entry fee is a minimum suggested donation of £5 per adult.  Enter the adults races here:  Adult Entry

Details of Childrens Relay

• The children's races will take place at 1.30-2.00pm
• There will be one race each for age groups 3-6, 7-11, and 12-15.
• Races will be run over a 100-200 metres course.

Some parking is available at the centre, but please car share if you can.
