Team 70 @ Alberta 55+ Summer Games in Strathmore

Thursday Report:

     Team 70 had a tough start to the Alberta games as they dropped both of their games Thursday.

Friday Report:

      Team 70 bats did not start off like they would have liked as they dropped the first game of the day 14 - 2. This was the end of the round robin and set up the 1 vs 4 and 2 vs 3 playoffs. Team 70 faced Zone 3 again. Though the bats woke up a bit and they had a good defensive game, they still 15 - 12. Bronze metal now on the line for Saturday.

Saturday Report:

     Team 70 faced Zone 2 in the Bronze Medal game on Saturday. Team 70 batted extremely well and kept the errors to just a few and came away with a 31 - 14 victory.

     1st star for our team was Vern Herter who pitched all 5 games despite a hamstring pull. 2nd star goes to Howard Gehring with 2 out of the park home runs. 3rd start goes to the remainder of the team.
