- Considered to be on status quo budget - same numbers as last year, which can be considered a loss of budget given inflation, impact of US$, etc.

- B. Jeffery Sabbatical Fill/LMMI Project
- L. MacCallum contract has been approved and starting July 1, 2015.
- L. MacCallum will be moving into B. Jeffery’s office.

- A recommend for Rosie Le Faive has gone forward with the goal of a July 1, 2015 start.

- Sherry Hutchinson’s last working day was Wednesday May 27, 2015.

- Company is to resume clean up on Monday June 1, 2015. The area is still closed off.

- Shifting of Reference complete. Wiring on shelving has been dismantled.
- Old shelving needs to be dismantled. Some shelving to Special Collections, the rest to sale.
- Replace carpet as needed.
- Add new furniture for small and group study space. Working with Atlantic Interiors.
- Current periodicals moving down to Government Documents area.
- Writing Centre
- Moving into the “Super Quiet” room in the Learning Commons.

- One Book, One University
- The Accidental Universe (Alan Lightman)
- Copy of book for new undergraduates. Ask faculty to incorporate in some manner into their courses. Panel discussions around the book.
- Purpose of the program is to generate discussion/interest and an opportunity for students to interact with the campus community and engage.
- Currently planning for September 2015.

- Display phones installed in Circulation to identify calls coming from Reference Desk.

- Reviews and vets new courses and programs prior to moving forward to MPHEC.
- New Courses/Programs
- Actuarial Science program and changes to Mathematics department. Financial Mathematics went through Senate.
- Paramedicine - has gone through Senate.

- Honours Papers
- D. Hooper. Honours Papers are the next collection in IslandScholar. Follow similar process used with Signature Projects. Psychology is the first program to submit honours papers. Interest from two other programs - Biology and Applied Human Sciences - who would like to get this underway for Winter 2016.
- Honours Papers go through Departments.
- Honours Papers are referenced in UPEI Open Access Policy.

- The Utility of Google Scholar When Searching Geographical Literature: Comparison With Three Commercial Bibliographic Databases
- M. Belvadi has provided a summary of the results - http://library.upei.ca/research-finds-google-scholar-better-web-science and led the discussion re: the article. J. Rix’s reports that he starts with Google Scholar first when writing his papers for Political Science.

- DLI Access - Equinox data delivery system via University of Western Ontario is being discontinued and we will be using Statistics Canada’s Nesstar Service (See Dawn Hooper for more information).
- Melissa Belvadi
- Long term plan in development to move materials out of compact storage.
- Books, periodicals, microfilm.
- Working with Mark Cousins to do the analysis.
- CAUL Collection Committee - Last Copy Program. Agreement close to being finalized. A library will commit to keep the last print copy that other libraries in the region can use.
