Human Populations

2.6.4 Human Population Block Lab

While population growth as a globe is growing exponentially, different countries show different population growth patterns caused by economics, health, and culture. In this lab you will simulate population changes in three different countries - one with high growth (part A), one with medium growth (part B), and one that is stable or has negative growth (part C). You will roll the dice to show that some population changes are random and can change for no reason as well.

You need approximately 125 1 cm cubes. Color one side yellow, one side green, and one side black or brown. Leave 3 sides their natural color. For each part of the lab, A, B, and C, start over with 35 cubes and follow the unique directions.
