InPainting surreal landscapes
Step one: find a creation you want to inpaint.
I have chosen the image below.
It's quite an old image I made. I've chosen it because the person is facing forward and the hair fills the frame. This allows for better InPainting results.
The original image is at this link here.

The next step is to launch an sdxl model. I'm using Crystal Clear XL lightning. After uploading or selecting the image you want to inpaint and then apply a mask. The image below shows the mask I applied.
Once you have inpainted around the face we can click done. My settings for the inpaint are below.
When you're happy with the weight etc click on done and you will return to the image creation screen but now your image has been masked ready for InPainting.
I have used the following prompt.
A placid lake atop a cliff the water spilling over the edges creating cascading waterfalls, by Ismail Inceoglu, Erin Hanson, android jones, James Jean, Bosch and Ian Miller

Now we have a cool image we can work with.
Now click on the evolve button and you will evolve this image. Your image should be loaded with your prompt.
Select controlnet and from the options select depth to image and set the settings as below.
Now go to your prompt and add HD photography to the front of it.
So my prompt now reads
HD photography A placid lake atop a cliff the water spilling over the edges creating cascading waterfalls, by Ismail Inceoglu, Erin Hanson, android jones, James Jean, Bosch and Ian Miller
Render the image when you are happy with your settings.

Now we will evolve the image again.
So hit the evolve button. And it will load the creation for evolving.
First go to controlnet and turn these settings off.
Next change your model to a SDXL non lightning model. I'm going to use crystal clear XL.
Now look in your settings for the image prompt button which should now be available to use.
Click the choose image prompt button and select a very high-quality image you want to use.
Now I want to add some kind of technological cityscape so I chose a high quality creation that has these qualities.
The image I'm using as an image prompt is
My image prompt settings are shown below.
Once you're happy with the settings go back to your prompt .
I have changed my prompt to incorporate a cityscape around a lake.
So now my prompt reads:
HD photography of an amazing technologically advanced cyberpunk metropolis over A placid lake atop a cliff the water spilling over the edges creating cascading waterfalls, by Ismail Inceoglu, Erin Hanson, android jones, James Jean, Bosch and Ian Miller
So everything should be set -

Start image
SDXL non-lightning model
Check your settings again - lol good thing I checked them. Make sure your image noise for your start image is low.
I had mine set too high. For this type of image prompt I usually use low noise 0-45%.
You can also adjust your settings for prompt weight and refiner as well. If you keep getting deformation like extra lips eyes nose or other undesirable effects it is usually because the refiner needs to be off.
So now everything's set and we can hit create.

Now we have an amazingly surreal city with waterfalls around the impression of a face.
You can keep on evolving your images as much or as little as you want.
Below are some further evolutions of the image.
Remember any step is repeatable to evolve the image.
I have also found it useful to make a collection called “image prompts” and make it a favourite collection so you can easily select your favourite image prompts.
