I enclose a copy of a letter I sent to some of the members of the Hungarian community here. From it, you will see what all this is about.

Of course I realise that you are no longer a mem-

ber of our expatriate group but I also know that you continue to feel certain bonds of emotion towards your old friends. It is this that emboldens me to ask you to do them the great favour of coming to a short meeting at 4 o’clock next Monday.

I would be very grateful if you could do this. At the same time

there is another interesting matter that I would like to talk to you about in confidence.

Tudom ugyan, hogy Te sajnos, már nem tarto-
