Faculty Development Coordinator & Emerging Technologies Specialist:

                                             University of West Georgia        June 2013 -Present

        I changed positions at the University of West Georgia and now focus more on Faculty and Program Development. This position also includes training faculty on new and emerging technologies that are beneficial to the learning experience. I still serve as administrator for UWG's Desire2Learn, Blackboard Collaborate and technology based services as well as ensure ongoing faculty development to support high quality online teaching.

Director of Online Faculty Development:

                                             University of West Georgia        May 2011 –June 2013

        As the Director of Online Faculty Development, I ensure ongoing faculty development to support high quality online teaching. This position also creates and supports vibrant, in-house professional development among faculty who teach online and hybrid courses, develops original training and performance-based content; and manages and inspires a growing team of instructional designers and assistants to deliver the quality materials and faculty service in an efficient and collaborative environment. I also oversee the instructional design of online courses, and serve as administrator of UWG's Desire2Learn, Wimba and CoursEval services.

Instructional Technologist/ Faculty Trainer:

                                             Georgia Southern University        July 2010 –May 2011

Work with the Center for Online Learning as an Instructional Technologist and a Faculty Trainer for various online learning technologies including BlackBoard, Google Applications and various others. Provide training for faculty and staff in the effective use of new and current technologies for instructional purposes.

BlackBoard Vista Administrator/ Instructional Designer/ Faculty Trainer:

                                             Georgia Southern University        July 2004 –July 2010

Provide training for faculty and staff in the effective use of new and current technologies for instructional purposes.  Consult and develop collaborations with external organizations including the Georgia Board of Regents.  Provide Support and training for Georgia Southern University and other Georgia Institutions for The Georgia BlackBoard Vista System.

BlackBoard Consultant:

                                                Utah Valley University        July. 2004 – Dec. 2009

Worked with Utah Valley University on a consulting basis to help them with their BlackBoard Vista implementation and other database and technical tools.

WebCT Campus Edition and Vista Administrator:

                                              Utah Valley State College        Dec. 2000-July 2004

Administered a Campus edition WebCT server with over 57,000 users and 4500 different sections. This includes working with SCT Plus and Banner integration. Served as Vista Institution Administrator for Utah Valley State College. Maintained and administered Mercury message Broker, which includes updating and patching windows server, running and maintaining an instance of Oracle database and other included duties. Served as Assistant Database administrator over MySQL, SQL and Oracle database development and implementation.

Network Specialist/ Manager:

SwitchPoint Networks, Springville Utah         March 1999-August 2000

Managed multiple networking technician teams in the installation and maintenance of high speed networking infrastructure.  Created and managed all workflow for the teams in the installation of systems and diagnosing and correcting system errors.  Worked with network routers and servers.  Worked with a wide range of customers on their computing and technical needs

Service Manager: 

Eljay Inc.        May 1996 - Nov 1997

Managed several technicians including hiring, firing, training, customer service.  Maintained computer systems including operating systems, applications, etc.  Consulted with owner about business technology needs.  Created and maintained a project management solution to process requests in a timely manner.
