FACULTY ACCESS HUB | ACCESSIBLE WORD TEMPLATE
[Course Number and Course Title] | [Instructor Name]
How to use this template
Replace the bracketed sample text with your own content. Keep the built-in heading styles, real lists, descriptive links, and simple table structure. Delete this instruction box before distributing the document.
[Begin the section with a short introduction. Use normal paragraph text for body content rather than bold or enlarged text to create headings.]
Use Heading 3 for a subsection within a Heading 2 section. If another level is needed, use Heading 4 rather than skipping heading levels.
Use descriptive link text that tells readers where the link goes. Example: Course resource title. Replace the sample destination and link text with the actual resource. Avoid “click here,” “read more,” or a full URL as the visible link text.

Image guidance: For an informative image, add concise alternative text that communicates the image’s purpose in context. If the image is decorative and adds no information, mark it as decorative. Do not put essential instructions or information only inside an image.
Use tables only for data that has a meaningful row-and-column relationship. Keep tables simple when possible.
Week | Topic | Due |
1 | Introduction | Sept. 8 |
2 | Core Concepts | Sept. 15 |
3 | Application | Sept. 22 |
Table reminder: Identify the first row as the header row in Word. Avoid merged or split cells when a simpler table will work.
[Continue your document using the same heading hierarchy and accessible structure. Delete sample sections you do not need.]
Template note: This template provides an accessible starting structure. Accessibility should be rechecked whenever content is added, replaced, or reformatted.
Replace all bracketed instructional text before sharing with students.
